Beyond one's own mind there is no dazzling light to come shining in from outside to wake one up. If one recognizes one's own intrinsic State as pure from the beginning and only temporarily obscured by impurities, and if one maintains the presence of this recognition without becoming distracted, then all the impurities dissolve. This is the essence of the Path-namkhai norbu. Why is there a legend about the descent of Christ into hell? The Teacher addressed the lower strata of the astral world, saying: Why, by cherishing earthly thoughts, bind oneself eternally to Earth? And many revolted in spirit and rose higher. The rov has a camera mounted to it's "elbow" so you can see a close up of what the hand is doing. That's what the channel one box was showing. It would go to the LED screen that has real-time data and "watch" it to read the data. 34 is right, it said something like 1.794 P- and 3.596 P+ I think the data would change slightly but always be steady around those numbers. What P stands for? I have no idea but I'm pretty sure this was all from the hydrolic control panel so I assumed it was pressure from the hydrolic system somehow. Positive and negative pressure to keep it from snapping to fast. I thought they were going to snap the top of the BOP off last night? What happened? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1010415Check these General Electric Sondex Company Products. They are drilling the relief well, and getting very close. [link to www.sondex.com] [link to www.sondex.com] Drilling of Relief Well enters crucial stage: [link to www.pressherald.com] At 10,677 feet below the seafloor, however, the first relief well is still at least 1,000 vertical feet above where BP's engineers would like to enter the Deepwater Horizon wellbore. While electromagnetic ranging helps, it can be off by as much as 10 percent, according to a study by John W. Wright, one of the world's foremost experts on relief well drilling. So for the next several weeks, drillers will take a path down parallel to the Deepwater Horizon's wellbore while trying to inch closer, guided by electromagnetic pulses in a process that in Wells' descriptions sounds equal parts science and trial and error. I believe this makes the most sense. They'll likely engage the pulsing mechanism relatively often after the BHA begins to turn horizontal, again depending on the form of the sensor tool (MWD?). This green LED phenomenon may or may not be related to the sending of the pulse, but I strongly suspect so. |

I don't think I've ever seen so many nutjobs on one website before. Some of you really need professional help. lol In regards to the original posted video: If it is a very out of focus LED, then the “dots” that appear from time to time in what would be the upper area of the so called screen would be what type of symbol? The only things that I could think of are an apostrophe or quote marks, which would not usually be used with numbers or short messages. Otherwise the LED display would not only be out of focus, but also upside down, which doesn’t make any sense to me. I am not really sure what this is. |

Ate you Watching that Huge blue "thing" going down ... it is from INTERMOORE. It is a Heave compensator. From INTERMOORE: [link to www.intermoor.com] Subsea RISERLESS WELL INTERVENTION SYSTEM n HEAVE COMPENSATION n CUTTING AND DECOMMISSIONING. "We are the world leader when it comes to subsea cutting services. In addition to making our mark as the premiere severance contractor of choice, we also specialize in subsea well abandonment and offshore decommissioning. We offer operators a wealth of advantages in the performance of wells using the latest intervention techniques and equipment. We also can help clients’ cut costs related to abandonments and heave compensation. " WHat is a heave compensator: - petroleum engineering) A motion compensator on a floating offshore drilling rig (boat)that moves with vertical motion to maintain a constant pressure on the drilling bit. Vertical ship movement (heave) provides a third dimension to this problematical equation. Heave compensators reduce the effect of vertical ship heave on the drill string and coring tools. Without heave compensation, optimal ocean coring and borehole completions would require calm seas, with large amounts of downtime spent waiting on weather. WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS ABANDONING THE WELL WITHOUT THE NEED OF A RIG. THEY ARE DOING A RIGLESS SUBSEA WELLHEAD REMOVAL [link to www.noordhoek.net] [link to www-odp.tamu.edu] Now.. [link to www.epmag.com] Less than 80% "New system enables rigless subsea well abandonment" A uniquely engineered vessel deployment system has completed what may be the world’s deepest rigless subsea production well abandonment. "To carry out this abandonment operation, Helix Well Ops’ purpose-built rigless tooling technologies were employed in tandem with an onboard deployment system designed to create an over-stern moonpool work area either on a typical supply boat or for use over existing moonpools. The equipment is designed specifically to allow subsea intervention and abandonment to be conducted from readily available supply boats, rather than purpose-built intervention vessels." Putting technology to work After the field was decommissioned, a contract was awarded for engineering, project management, and the supply and operation of rigless abandonment tooling systems. Rigless abandonment technology allows for the deployment of subsea equipment, guide lines, and pod lines from a monohull vessel. The system has several features that differentiate it from conventional A-frames, including the moonpool area, a heave compensation system, lifted load containment by use of cursor frames and on-deck transportation via a skidding system. The deployment system also is collapsible for in-gauge road transportation. Rigless intervention technology also incorporates a proprietary cement injection tool designed to perforate the first casing, set a cement plug in the annulus between the first and second casings, and pressure test the plug. All three functions are achieved in a single deployment, saving considerable time and cost when compared with alternative techniques. When used with the vessel deployment system, the tools enable subsea cementing and perforation work to be performed without a rig or special intervention vessel. Abandoning the well Last part from : "At this point, the wellhead was exposed, with the 95⁄8-in. casing open. Government regulations require the annulus to be plugged; so a cement plug was installed. A proprietary cement injection tool was deployed to 197 ft below the wellhead where it punched the 95⁄8-in. casing and squeezed a 131-ft (40-m) cement plug in the 95⁄8-in. to 133⁄8-in. annulus. The lower portion of the project-specific tool was left in place and secured with 131 ft of cement. With the top hole cement plug operation complete, the crew deployed the proprietary wellhead cutter severance system and severed all of the casings in a single pass. The entire well abandonment operation was completed as programmed in eight days. Is that enough ? |
