Quoting: Anonymous Coward 898188Rice makes eating very cheap but grains are nasty for your body due to peptides amongst many other things! Are you Mopar not signed in. Is this an Aldi ad? No. It's easy to do. It will get cheaper once the mangos come out in full. People are too lazy to look for deals but they're there. Eggs are a good cheap meal. One carton here around $1. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 974569 United States 07/03/2010 09:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My wife and I spend 60 dollars every two weeks plus about 10 dollars/week buying fresh bread. I guess it's all relative. Some people on here pay $6/gallon of milk while I pay only $1.89. Some people are brand conscious while I don't give a fuck. Basically your all spending way too much. I could spend $5dollars for a box of brand name cereal or I could go to Aldi or Trader Joes and buy a box for 1.69-3.00 for something that has more nutrition. I don't eat beef. But I can go to Sams Club and get boneless chicken breast for 1.79/lb. Luckily I have 7 grocery stores and a Sams Club within walking distance. |

Say_It_Loud User ID: 1023941 United States 07/03/2010 09:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I spend about 150 per week for a family of four and three pets. This also includes all paper products, cleaning products, health and beauty, laundry and cigs. No alchohol except the occasional six pack of beer. I buy off brand as much as I can and we aren't much into processed stuff. Lots of fruits and veggies too. Truth Is God's Daughter - Spanish Proverb. "Silence Is Treason" Geert Wilders |

But that included TP, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies, cat food, dog food, beer, wine, etc. The kicker is, we don't have to buy meat because of a family business. So, we kind of live like kings, too. LOL |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1021925 United States 07/03/2010 09:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I spend $250-300/mo for 2 adults and one child. That includes all hygiene products, paper, etc. I usually do one big shop after payday (we both get paid once a month)and menu plan, then fill in bread, milk, produce. My daughter is a speed skater so she has to eat well. |
lapis lazuli User ID: 1020771 United States 07/03/2010 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | about $350 to $400 per month, one person. I eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit, always organic, which costs a lot. I also get these absolutely incredible locally grown, fresh eggs at the farmers market. Best eggs ever. But they are $3.50 per dozen I also eat out regularly at three restaurants, one is Thai, one is Jamaican, and the other is West African. Absolutely fantastic food. But of course it's kind of expensive to eat out regularly. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1011544 Italy 07/03/2010 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I used to buy organic when I could afford it but then I realized how do I know it's organic? Really the only food I would consider organic would be from a local farmer who doesn't use pesticides etc. I always laughed at this woman I know who is poor and spends money at whole foods. I said to her maybe none of the food is organic at whole foods. Nice scam to label organic yet use regular food though. Haha |
