Then all we have is an aging, ailing, non-reproducing population with a lowered life expectancy, perhaps lower than 70 years of age.

The human species could realistically be extinct by 2105 or thereabouts.

The 6,000 elite and their minions will simply not survive even though they are exempt from the poisons force-fed to us. Who would plow the fields? Operate the dams? The nuclear reactors? Who would make spare parts? They will be reduced to becoming the anarchists they so loathe. By all accounts, their underground lairs are insufficient to uphold a necessary ecosystem for survival.

Unless the elite halt the use of poisons to sterilize humanity, population reduction is an unrealistic expectation over the more realistic human extinction.
