May God shed his GRACE on thee, Kathie Please explain what you do. Some say to file no return. Some say to file a return saying you owe no tax. Maybe others say different things. Do you have a suggestion for W-2 workers who are having tax withheld and need to file to get some of it back? One niggle. If we didn't pay income taxes (letting alone that they might just compensate by raising sales taxes, imposing VAT, etc.) I think that the main result would be that they would lose control of inflation. They can just direct the Fed to print money for the Treasury, to be financed by Treasury bonds. But that would be too inflationary / stimulative. And it probably violates all sorts of international treaties our government has entered into. |
