Yes, isolation and containment is impossible when considering our current capabilities. Intelligent beings can create these sort of particle physics devices, they can manipulate, accelerate,and collide them before ever reaching the sophistication to isolate or contain these kind of experiments when an unintended event occurs as a result. All these changes in the Earth are a result of that circumstance.
