i suggest you all talk to americans living in the netherlands

i lived there for a long long time and it ain't quite the picture you are painting.

people are people the world over. you have nice dutch and lots of assholes

learn the dutch language and then you truly know the dutch.

you don't understand a people until you live there over 5 years and you speak the language excellently

i'm glad to be back in north america
