What a bullshit thread!!!I lived there for a couple of years...There are some wonderful things about this country,but dutch people are SO racists!!!Since you are a foreigner you are hated since the first moment you are there!Not to speak about their arrogance and ignorance!Almost all foreigners I knew were dealing with the same situation there!

Things changed totally about this country and its people since 2002 approximately.It s their new generation that is so fucked.Maybe the guy mentioned on the thread was lucky to be among nice people there or immigrated there long time ago.He was not alone there though.

there is definetly something wrong with them. especially when they immigrate to other countries. they have the church and there little clan. i know them well. nice on the outside but stubborn, mean and stupid on the inside.

Haven't been to Netherlands,but I have some relatives there and they say it's awesome :D.

they hate americans also. they point the finger and wag the finger at everyone. that's where the expression Dutch Uncle comes from. it means someone who is very critical. they are judgemental and never positive about anyone. if you live there they will only say nasty things. they will never compliment you for anything. they hate germans because they are so much like them.

they are fake to people visiting and when they're abroad they show their best side. honestly they take pleasure at being nasty and vicious. i've seen it many times.

i've had 2 partners that were dutch. they both have nothing nice to say about their country anymore. my first ex said dutch are afraid of their own police now. if you fail to show ID even if you've done nothing wrong they throw you in jail.

netherlands now is truly a fascist state and dutch go along with it.

Anyhow, the Dutch have an excellent attitude and they are willing to help without expecting much more back other than thanks and respect. This is amazing to me and they are awesome people.

So the last of what I am saying is basically if the Dutch have it right, the USA needs to look at what they do that we do not. Legalize a few things and I think the country may change for the good here, who knows!

First Dutch may seem hospitable. That was years and years ago... before the Bush Administration... so we talk about the stone age.. second Dutch people really dont want you to stay on a visit around dinner time. When the clock strikes 17.30 you better have left otherwise you'll get the... "can I get you another cup of coffee or are you leaving?".... making things nicer then they are... They were taught by the blacks in Surinam to loose that ish... the hospitable part of Holland are really the Black people of Surinam who have a big part in Hollands history! im dutch but like the states . my uncle lives in new jersey with 7 locks on the front door and 2 shot gunes for just incase ;-) i wish we could carry guns because holland is getting criminals by the truck load from eastern european countrys robbing old people in their own home . that didnt happen much before the darn borders where closed .

Didn't read the entire thread as usually anything like this will turn out in a huge flame war. however I wanted to say,


All the dutch people I've ever met were awesome. Hell I was screaming when the Dutch lost the finals in the world cup. I've been to the netherlands a few times and loved it. In russian there is a saying "There is no people without their ugliness" This saying is true even for the dutch however from my experience I was rewarded with nothing but kindness and happy smiley awesome people

if you wanna know the dutch do the following

1) go on youtube and look for dutch idols audition with a fat girl with a beautiful voice. one of the judges named gordon spends most of the video being nasty about her weight. this sweet woman with a lovely voice was degraded by the asshole because of her weight

2) watch one of those television programs with "retarded" people(meaning retarded in development) with dutch people. they will laugh at the "retarded" people. it's the oddest behaviour

3) watch a dutch version of funniest home videos. dutch will laugh at other people's misfortune, even if it would cause injury to a person.

4) watch the movie flodder with english subtitles. that gives you some idea of what dutch people are like

As a Dutchie myself I have to say, having been to many countries I found Norway the most beautiful country with the friendliest people. Their living standard is also way, way higher than the US or the Netherlands. Peace ><>
