Better still are the high-quality stainless steel straws you can buy (Ebay). Also made for sipping beverages on the terrace, they're perfect in BO bags. Don't break, easy to boil & clean, and make sipping from water bottles or hot beverages in camp or while walking. |

I love antiques. I sleep in a bed from the turn of the century and brew tea in an ancient teapot. lol Which leads me to the straws. I wanted to find something non plastic (which just makes me gag). To try to not stain my teeth; I drink a shitload of iced tea. I found a cool site, but I'm afraid to post it. I just ordered two today. Have not received them yet. Snuff holders are cool, too. Although I never really understood; wtf was snuff anyhow? To me, it always sounded like coke. God knows I did my share of that in the eighties lmao. Never had any holders for it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 642285 United States 07/04/2010 02:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a set of tempered glass drinking straws that I bought like 30 years ago. They glass is thin but extremely durable. I've dropped them and they did not break on a tile floor. The colors I have are all jewel tones and can be used quite effectively at the Holidays, etc. A cosmo with the garnish on one of these across the top of the drink is quite festive! I think I paid about $30/dozen back when I bought them. They came from George Jenssen in NYC. Gone now but not forgotten by any means! |

Just imagine the amount of plastic not used... These straws are gorgeous, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly. Why would you not? Please do a search. |
