My son too. We discovered the nickel problem when he was stirring chili with a spoon and got a blister from the spoon. Try some home allergy tests maybe?

I get it in the spring, with too much sun exposure. Dermatologist told me it was a Native Indian sun allergy. Happens on back of neck and tops of feet too.

Sounds like what a older family member had for many years. Military MDs said it was stress, allergies, etc, but did recommend any treatment....finally went to a private dermatologist and he said dermatitis (same as another poster said). Prescriped a steroid cream, if I remember correctly, and it took care of it right away.

Well it's Wintertime here, and we have snow. Do you mean it happens when the plants are dead in January?

If you mean that you seasonally have blisters, do you have this plant in your yard. See the picture below:
[link to lh6.ggpht.com]

That thistle plant frequently causes skin irritation. It's called Urticaria (or commonly Hives). Many gardeners have accidentally touched the fine sharp hairs on it and gotten an allergic reaction. Naturally when mowing the grass and changing out the bag you can also be exposed to it.

I've had it myself and it causes blistering. They make a soap for removing plant oils like poison ivy or thistle. Burt's Bees makes one. You have to use them right away.

When the honeysuckle flowers are in bloom, a tea from that will greatly reduce allergic reactions.

Every year for 30 years I get these tiny itchy water blisters on my fingers. It always happens around this time and then they go away. Anyone else ever have this?

Herpes. Or Shingles.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 991470

I have had this since I was a small child. No herpes.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 886580

Me too, same thing.
Not herpes or poison oak.
I have no idea.

It's NOT hives, herpes or shingles. Herpes are fever blisters and they are painful. These watery blisters are itchy, not painful. Hives is all over the body, not just on the fingers and shingles is painful and red. These are tiny itchy normal skin colour blisters right? I get them too. And its none of the above.

You need hydrocortisone to treat eczema. You can buy it over the counter.

Eczema.

You are allergic to something you come into contact with at the same time every year.

Might be at work, or at home, or elsewhere.

I have personal experience with this kind of thing. Eczema on the fingers produces the most intense form of blisters in eczema.
See a doctor.

You will find help. And you are lucky it goes away!

Poison ivy or oak.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1026720

I read where poison Ivy and poison Oak can be carried in the wind.
What ever it is sounds like you have been touching it with your fingers. Is there anything you do or get out every spring? Spring cleaning with certain soap?

Look up pompholyx (dyshidrotic eczema) and if the blisters etc match the photos then you suffer from what I've had for the last year and on/off for the last 4 years. I'm still working on exactly what's causing it but it definitely flares up when I touch fresh figs straight off the tree (especially if the milky sap goes on my fingers) and if I touch the zucchini plant in my garden.

I've had reduced symptoms this week by trying to steer clear of methylchloroisothiazolinone, a preservative found in most liquid detergents, shampoo and hand soap.

Dishydroitic eczema.

I get flare ups (very small) when I consume high sugar and eat shitty for a while. Others get it during high stress.

It is believed the blisters are caused from a fungus. Drink apple cider vinegar and put coconut oil on it. It is the sign of a systemic fungal infection.

Agree sounds like dishydrotic eczema

I see it frequently in my office...
Seems to hit folks who are exposed frequently to hydrocarbons.(solvents, gasoline, hydraulic fluids, etc...)

Or folks who are required to wear latex gloves secondary to their work, but these are just examples.

I see it in kids who have a lot of allergies and/or asthma also.

Usually topical OTC 1 % hydrocortisone cream helps a lot.
