Today was my Lucky Day!!!

Last night, I was sitting out on my small deck around sunset with my animals. My African Grey parrot, Cicero, and my 3 cats.

Just as I was putting my hand out to Cicero to bring him in for the night he got startled and flew off in to the sunset. I rushed the cats inside and went out to find him. I searched and searched and searched into the dark with a flashlight and couldn't find him.

I was heartbroken and cried when I knew there was nothing more I could do because of the night. I had a rather sleepness night while worrying about him.


I set the alarm for 5 AM because I had to be at work for 7, but my night was mostly spent awake. I got up and at the crack of light, I went out with binoculars to be able to check all the trees for him.

I kept calling him and talking to him like I always do and then I heard one small familiar noise that he makes. I went down the block and in to the back yard of a vacant house and there I saw him! Sitting on a fence that was dividing some yards.

We hugged and kissed and it was the best thing that could possibly happen! I got my baby back!
