Kinda how one might say they created a cell phone or gingerbread house, though they did not actually create the atoms that makeup those things.

As Einstein stated matter is neither created nor destroyed and if that rings true, I believe it does, than the matter that makes up the universe was always here and always will be there is simply no beginning or end to that it is infinite. That which is, was, and always will be.
