I have been pondering the double headed eagle, and can see that it was a symbol of the oldest royalty known in the world, the proto-dynastic kings of Egypt.

Have a look at some of those "double bird" palettes and tell me you don't see the same thing today. There are other symbols there as well, which you will recognize.

Many of these palettes date from before hieroglyphic or other writing systems (abjads) were known to them. You can see how symbology is powerful and allows connection to literally mythical roots.
