Something exists in nature, that anyone can grow, use, and benefit from. Then TPTB make this illegal. Then they create a substance in a chemistry lab that does kinda the same thing, sell it, and make money. |

I know most of the pot smokers are hard core addicts and refuse to give it up but you really NEED to stop doing drugs of any kind. All drugs come with a price! Look at yourself and all your dope smokin buddies...notice anything? Free your mind and the rest will follow. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God...Romans 12:2 BE the change you wish to see in the world. |

I would advise that before attempting any unknown first find someone else with experience. Going into a dark room alone might make you feel brave at first but that brave feeling will turn into chaos if you have no one to guide you. Be aware of your time! Time is a big deal. If you don't have your own place I'd advice avoiding any legal high for one simple reason. When you are very high you are at risk to outside attack from anyone who observes your out of control behavior. "I can handle anything" is a motto for the fool because you can't. Know your limits. Last points... Know your path of retreat. If you do want to fall back to safe location make that choice before you go in, not after. Also keep breathing! Laugh if you want but some of these chemicals can cause you to stop breathing. Watch a few of your friends go out cold blue and you'll rethink your entire life. Stay crazy and have fun. |

OP User ID: 689389 Mexico 07/13/2010 03:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Synthetic marijuana, marketed as K2 or Spice, is an herbal substance sold as an incense or smoking material that remains legal in the United States. The products contain one or more synthetic compounds that behave similarly to the primary psychoactive constituent of marijuana, Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. The compound most commonly found in these products is a chemical first synthesized by the well-known Clemson University organic chemist, Prof John W Huffman: the eponymous JWH-018. Another compound, found in Spice products sold in Germany, is an analog of CP-47,497, a cannabinoid developed by Pfizer over 20 years ago. What does it do? Much of the biological assessment work of Dr. Huffman's compounds was carried out by the laboratory of Professor Billy R. Martin of the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Martin, a native of North Carolina, was a giant in the field and sadly left us two summers ago at the all-too-young age of 65 (obituary). According to this 2000 paper in Drug and Alcohol Dependence from the Huffman and Martin groups, JWH-018 binds to the psychotropic CB1 receptor with approximately 4 times the potency of the naturally-occurring THC. Unlike THC, which binds with almost equal affinity to CB1 and CB2 receptors, JWH-018 exhibits a 3-fold preference for CB1 receptors. What does this mean? Well, the CB1 receptor is the primary means by which cannabinoids exert their psychotropic effects. The CB2 receptor, on the other hand, appears to be more involved in pain and inflammation and is therefore a very active area of research for new therapeutics. So while JWH-018 has four-fold greater potency for CB1 receptors than THC in an isolated receptor binding study, how its effect compares to plain-old marijuana depends on other factors such as the relative amount in the product, how stable it is to combustion, how it's metabolized in the body, among others. |

Here is a list of what I have accomplished at 31 years old. 1. College Degree 2. 5 successful businesses created (3 were sold for between $50,000 and $250,000 - the other 2 I currently still own and operate) 3. I own 2 SUVs, a Nissan 350Z, a 30' speedboat and I am co-owner of a fishing boat. 4. I own 2 ATVs. 5. I own my own home. 6. I am married with a young child and planning on 1 or 2 more (because I am financially capable of supporting them). 7. I run my businesses from my laptop computer (i.e. I have no office) 8. I hang out at casinos around the USA & Canada playing roulette for fun... why? because I can, and because I know how to generally win at roulette. Oh and by the way, I have smoked copious amounts of WEED - EVERY SINGLE DAY since the age of 17. 14 years x 365 days x 5-10 bong hits per day = 25,000 - 50,000 bong hits!!!!!!! I am not a lazy stoner. I enjoy weed to the fullest, yet I am still wonderfully successful. Ask my wife if she had fun in the Bahamas this past February. Ask her if weed is a problem for her..... The weed discussion is fucking stupid - just like most of the people on this website and in this crazy fucked up world. Life is what you make of it... but weed is not the problem. [This was mostly directed at the loser that was saying people should give up drugs of ANY kind.... that's just ludicrous!] |
