Vitamin D comes mostly from sun exposure, particularly the palms of your hands. Meats are not some key to healthy living, as matter of fact, you'd die if you ate meat only. You won't die eating strictly veggies, you'd thrive. Now, the only problem with vegetables are they aren't as nutritional as they were a hundred years ago due to poor soil nutrients. So, we do have to supplement, and make diverse our diets, to meet our nutritional needs. I would, if possible, try to eat grass fed, wild caught, meats, as store bought meats are contaminated with fecal matter and pesticides (petroleum based pesticides are fat soluble). There's no better substitute than juicing organic plant based foods.... |

There's no better substitute than juicing organic plant based foods.... oh good, someone answered this. i do have to say, sometimes vegans DO have to watch their cholesterol and make sure they are getting the proper nutrients for the body to produce good cholesterol. i take care of that with hemp oil, and/or soy lecithin, as well as eating a variety of foods. although veganism is unnatural (in a nat. world one would not purposefully refuse food of any kind, but would supplement the diet with meat when veggies are scarce) it is a necessary step (for some) in order to get away from mass produced torture & murder. with that said, yes, our air, water, and soil is so depleted of nutrients, supplementing may be necessary. However, I advise going with a whole foods live supplement. my research is turning up the info that a lot of supplements may be nothing more than industrial waste products. grow food. |
