ok, here is a snip from another link: "One famous sighting of Tessie is by well-known oceanographer, Jacques Cousteau. Cousteau was said to have traveled to Lake Tahoe in the 1970s to research the wonders of Tahoe’s depths. While diving he took pictures of what some claim was Tahoe Tessie. He refused to release photos stating, “The world is not ready for what’s down there.”
The problem with this story, according to Nevada State Archivist, Guy Rocha, is there are no records of Cousteau having visited Tahoe. It’s just another myth." here's the link: [ link to bedavidson.wordpress.com] He was indeed there, so was the article, I personally read it!
