**Just IN** Rep. Markey says Congress unable to "PUBLICLY disclose" integrity of wellbore -- More (CNN VIDEO)
Interview With Massachusetts Congressman Edward Markey, CNN, July 15 @ 10:18pm EST:

Rush Transcript Excerpts

COOPER: Congressman Markey, on I think it was June 23, you wrote a letter to BP, one of the many letters you've -- you've written to BP, that they haven't really responded to.

This one, you were asking for detailed information about the wellbore, about the -- what they knew about the seafloor, about the status of it. That information is obviously crucially important now. Have they -- and, yesterday, you were saying, look, they haven't responded. Have they responded at all over the last 24 hours?

MARKEY: They have not responded.

And, again, I wrote back there on June 23, so that we could publicly disclose what the integrity of the wellbore is, we could publicly disclose what the integrity of the geology around the wellbore, so that we could better understand. ...

Can it withstand that extra pressure, as the oil is now backed up? Can the soil, can the rock, can the sediment around the well withstand the additional pressure?

The rock formation around this well [may]actually now spring leaks and make the problem even worse than it is now.

Markey all but confirms that the government has knowledge of the condition of the wellbore, but is not permitted to release the information publicly.

Markey's wrote the June 23 letter to pressure BP to publicly disclose the problems with the wellbore. This would have allowed the information to be released without Markey doing it directly.

However, the questions raised in his letter serves to inform the public about what Congress does know about the condition of the well, without directly stating the information as fact.

The letter was excerpted in a June 30 report on this website, Congressman suspects BP tapped multiple oil reservoirs while drilling the Macondo Well; Oil may also be rushing IN to damaged casing:

The Chairman of the Energy and Environment Subcommittee Rep. Ed Markey is now questioning not only if oil and gas are seeping out of the damaged casing into the seabed and surrounding rock, but whether oil and gas may be rushing IN to the casing after BP drilled into oil formations above the target reservoir.

Letter: Chairman Asks About Well Integrity, Design of Relief Wells, Timeframe, Sea Floor Leaks, Energy and Environment Subcommittee:

Are there significant deposits of oil and gas in formations above the target reservoir?

Please provide an estimate of the total amount of oil and gas that is contained in i) the Macondo well target formation and ii) each formation above the target formation that could leak hydrocarbons into the annulus as a result of poor cementing, damage caused by the initial explosion(s), or the failed Top Kill effort.

Questions on other potential hydrocarbon reservoirs in the well. ...

Please provide documents related to the possibility that the initial drilling encountered leakage from other formations above the target reservoir...

A May 23, 2010 article... in the Orlando Sentinel stated that well records indicate that in late February, there was a loss in drilling mud pressure. According to the article, this could mean that the mud fractured layers of sand or shale in the formation and vanished. The article goes on to state that in early March, the pressure of the oil and gas encountered overwhelmed the pressure of the drilling mud. In mid-April, a loss of drilling mud was reportedly again experienced. Do any or all of these events indicate that oil and gas could be flowing from somewhere other than the target reservoir? If so, please explain fully, and if not, why not?

Thank you very much for your attention to this important matter. Please provide your response no later than Friday July 2, 2010. If you have any questions or concerns, please have your staff contact Dr. Michal Freedhoff of the Energy and Environment Subcommittee staff at 202-225-2836.

Sincerely,

Edward J. Markey
Chairman
Energy and Environment Subcommittee

As if it wasn't apparent already, the fact that a foreign corporation was hiring contracted law enforcement to bully people in our own country, near their homes, should have sent red flags flying way before this.

The government of this country is a bunch of fucking lapdogs licking their own assholes, obediently nipping at their handlers heels for whatever attention and table scraps they can get.

It's just absolutely mind blowing.

I saw this live on CNN today and just can't believe this shit. It just gets worse all the time.

The government and BP KNOW we're fucked. They know it and they're hiding it. Why? Because there's not a damn thing they can do. The stupid BP cams are BULLSHIT, people. Total crap. That well is not even the main concern. There's a much bigger well, and bigger problems, then horse and pony show they're showing us.

Hello? It's BP's Cams!

It has nothing to do with getting a response from BP.

BP and the government have the same information. They are working together. The gov't knows what BP knows.

The information is not able to be disclosed to the public by congress as it would violate terms of their security clearance.

BP is under no such obligation to keep the information confidential. BP can reveal the information on the wellbore. Congress cannot.

The best Markey could do to release the information is phrase it in the form of questions.

He makes this clear in the video.

Does anyone else remember watching Louisiana congressman Melancon choke up and shed tears at a hearing a couple of months ago before the public had any idea how bad this was?

We even had a thread here about it, entitled "He Knows".

I would not be surprised if we were to see the few elected officials with some degree of humanity and integrity suddenly check themselves in for "nervous exhaustion", or even quietly auto-delete.

What would any person with a shred of concience do?

Maybe this is how they do it, with subtle and well-crafted statements like the above.

I am just SO FED UP with being lied to.

Whatever is going on with the sea floor is NOT, repeating NOT, a matter of National Security, just because they SAY it is.

We're not talking about matters like how many nukes a particular nation has...oops, Obama thought it was OK to reveal to the world how many WE have.

Similarly, the fact that we are being visited by extraterrestrials is NOT a matter of National Security, it is merely a scientific fact which should be told to the public.

It is NOT morally correct to withhold this information.

 Quoting: Ailurophile

"........ Fascism embodied corporatism, in which political representation was based on trade and industry rather than on geography. In this, fascism revealed its roots in syndicalism, a form of socialism originating on the left. The government cartelized firms of the same industry, with representatives of labor and management serving on myriad local, regional, and national boards—subject always to the final authority of the dictator’s economic plan. Corporatism was intended to avert unsettling divisions within the nation, such as lockouts and union strikes. The price of such forced “harmony” was the loss of the ability to bargain and move about freely.

To maintain high employment and minimize popular discontent, fascist governments also undertook massive public-works projects financed by steep taxes, borrowing, and fiat money creation. While many of these projects were domestic—roads, buildings, stadiums—the largest project of all was militarism, with huge armies and arms production.
..........................

In the United States, beginning in 1933, the constellation of government interventions known as the New Deal had features suggestive of the corporate state. The National Industrial Recovery Act created code authorities and codes of practice that governed all aspects of manufacturing and commerce. The National Labor Relations Act made the federal government the final arbiter in labor issues. The Agricultural Adjustment Act introduced central planning to farming. The object was to reduce competition and output in order to keep prices and incomes of particular groups from falling during the Great Depression.

It is a matter of controversy whether President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal was directly influenced by fascist economic policies. Mussolini praised the New Deal as “boldly . . . interventionist in the field of economics,” and Roosevelt complimented Mussolini for his “honest purpose of restoring Italy” and acknowledged that he kept “in fairly close touch with that admirable Italian gentleman.” Also, Hugh Johnson, head of the National Recovery Administration, was known to carry a copy of Raffaello Viglione’s pro-Mussolini book, The Corporate State, with him, presented a copy to Labor Secretary Frances Perkins, and, on retirement, paid tribute to the Italian dictator.

Ive been telling people for 3 months. Representatives are useless. No longer to they represent their district. Now, they represent themselves, and Washington, as a spy on their district. They lie, the steal, they inside trade, commit fraud, racketeering, and more.

Back in the day when the citizen had more control, and money was readily available, under growth, the representative came in handy. But now, after decades of lies and robbing of wealth, we are broke. Most of them try to graduate into president, and some eventually do. Our wealth is fabricated and we go in debt trillions per year. Printing of counterfeit is an act of war and is a daily occurrence.

THIS HAS TO STOP

Representatives are no longer needed. They do NOT represent, and in fact most don't even bother showing up at town hall meetings.

The good nature of the American citizen has them believing that we a) don't care, b) are too stupid, or c) have not the courage to do anything about it.

Representatives placed laws in which a) they can stay in office forever and b) can't be impeached. WTF EXCUSE ME? In this case, all we can do is force their resignation.

People need to form town hall meetings, and call in the Sheriff and mayor. If either of those to fail to show or fail to follow orders, they too must be resigned. Their orders are simple. CLOSE THE LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES OFFICE and send them a notice stating that they are no longer needed.

"A) Due to failure of representation, B) passing and supporting bills their constituents do not support or have know nothing about, C) supporting treason in Washington DC, D) declaring war without the citizens approval, E) failure to hold regular town hall meetings, F) our district has no longer a need for money lobbyist, our district has decided to terminate the position of congressmen and senator. In the near future will will select (1)One representative for our state. Washington will be notified of who that person will be when the time comes. For now, the office will be closed until further notice".

Immediately following the governors who failed to succeed must resign. Replacements for governors and representatives will NOT be anyone in banking, big oil, pharmaceutical, and usual. BOTH parties will be disband and a new party will commence. The citizens conservative party of the republic.

The entire process could be done in a week. From there it will be simple to regain control of our states. Due to the state of our nation, we should have weekly town hall meetings. People report, Sheriff reports, Mayor reports, decision make their way to the governor. Any time we need to make decision of nation security, or of state of emergency, our (1) ONE representative will make their way to Washington. From there the decision will make its way to ambassadors, diplomats or the joint chiefs.

We are slowly being corralled and if they had their way, for slaughter. If we let spoiled, drug infested, lairs and thieves make gulf crisis decisions, Katla decisions, worldly decisions, they will kill millions.

It is so bad that they could be held culpable when it blows and I think it will

And that also means that if they released the info all the people would rise up in disgust and anger...as he collects handsomely and all the cronies in on this obfuscation and outright DECEIT

It is downhill, it is dangerous, it is UNSTABLE and millions are being told to go bask in the benzene sun and drink the corexit toxins, inhaling them deeply while eating a Chocolate HURRICANE...telling all the white folks not to expect any dessert...funny in my house we rarely have sweets or pies, but my kids or grandkids are given a choice of fruit or nuts...they need that...

Vacant any truth from Bottomless Pit, it is becoming clearer for many-it has not ended...and their lousy pressurre readings indicates other leakage elsewhere-

they need to stop spinning yarns for children-

By now you should be able to realize and understand that there is no more United States of America. The government has been hijacked by bankers who are trying to take over the world by enslaving everyone spiritually and economically.

Is it a coincidence that when when the banking bill was being deliberated and debated in Washington D.C., that the oil well exploded and started spewing millions of gallons of oil? Then on the day it got passed and became law, the oil well is magically capped. Hmmm?

Woohoo! Yaay!

Re: **Just IN** Rep. Markey says Congress unable to "PUBLICLY disclose" integrity of wellbore -- More (CNN VIDEO)
Markey all but confirms that the government has knowledge of the condition of the wellbore, but is not permitted to release the information publicly.

That right there scares me more than the leak itself. If a corporation can tell our congress what they can release to the affected public, then we have a bigger problem than the leak on our hands as American citizens.

This whole thing is an amazing cluster...
