Earthquake Dot-Connecting **Animals to earthquakes
Ok We all know there are all sorts of theories about signs visible before earthquakes. Earthquake cloud, animals sensing, people feeling ill(earthquake flu), in Japan for centuries they have used sighting of the earthquake fish (ore fish) as a warning, in China they have a research facility that monitors snakes, the list goes on and on.

Most get dismissed I think because people need/want to be able to tie it to an exact location of where the quake will hit. Most theories can not be replicated every single time, with every quake and get dismissed.

In my mind there are so many different causes of quakes and different types, no one theory will be a one size fits all. Every computer virus requires and different definition to find it.

I have been watching sea animal movement very closely for the last year or so. Starting with the Sea Lions moving out of San Fran. They went way the hell North. People argue that they migrate and ..... but they ALL left. Guess what 4 months later 8 pointer in Chile two months after that 7 pointer in Mexico.

I was watching deadliest catch the other night, the episode where Phil dies, the other captions kept commenting on how its been one of the worst seasons for crab. So Phil passed in early Feb so they were fishing say Jan & Feb (I dont know how long they are out for each crap)I looked it up Bering sea quakes 3-4 months after Feb and guess what 6.7 April 30th 3-4 month window.

No one really makes public super bad fishing or simple odd animal migrations but I think the ocean floor vents something heat or methane, something in places before big quakes, the sea animals pick it up and they move and/or it attracts a different kind, giant squid super super bad along Cali coast... ore fish able to go above their usual safe depth.....

Now worst quake in D.C can anyone find anything about bad fishing alone the coast or something strange in the great lakes, it would have to have started 3-4 months ago?? or around that. Anyone have any other examples, what if there are something like lava tubes or along those lines, that connect these vent to quake places????

Re: Earthquake Dot-Connecting **Animals to earthquakes
I am still not sold on the whole Harrp thing. I do know that our planet is moving into a place in the solar system that we have no solid records on. Our sun in coming out of a Solar minimum that caused an unusual collapse of a part of our outer atmosphere and we are heading into a Maximum. Things are happening at an alarming rate that is making Nasa and everyone have to rewrite what they all thought they knew.

Something is effecting the inside of our planet and no one has a clue.

So back to topic, does anyone have anything that fits into the DC quake or any other examples of odd occurrences of water or sea animals before a BIG quake. With the bodies of water question, think about Yellowstone, some pools there have same acidity as stomach acid, unusual levels of bacteria... Some water changes colors before quakes, sudden fish die off..... anything that could be attributed to a sudden change in temp or PH.

More dots.......

Found this from April fits into the 3-4 month window

NOAA: U.S. Averaged Warmer-than-Normal, Drier-than-Normal in March
Thursday, 08 April 2010 14:51 Press Release Science and Environmental

*According to the Canadian Ice Service, mid-March ice coverage over the Great Lakes was at a record low - only 3.5 percent of the Lakes’ surface. The average ice extent for the period is roughly 31 percent of the Lakes’ surface. The record dates back to 1973.
[link to www.enewspf.com]

Note it says the record was set in 73 so I googled eastern US earthquake 1973 and check out what I found....June 1973 ..Residence in all 6 New England states...... between 4 and 5 on richer scale.

[link to news.google.com]

I could not find an exact date on the 1973 ice reading but assuming its done every March it fits into the 3-4 month window.

LurkerLisa, there was a thread on here about fish die-offs in the Ohio area. If I remember correctly, the OP was suggesting that a large quake was coming to the Ohio/PA border.

lisa...i agree that something is going on here on planet Earth...but what i dont get is this: i live up north and was there two years ago (2008/9) for winter and we (petoskey, mac city) has a wicked winter with sub zeros wemps and snowfall every day..it started in late october and lasted untill april.....yet LAST year it was mild with higher temps....why is that? it seems to me that if a global change was going on, then it should get better or worse or whatever consistantly. Im not doggin you, im really wondering why that is.

I dont think two years is enough time to form a good comparison for changes. You may want to look around maybe weather underground or a site like that and look at 5-10 or 10-20 years, as many as you like and see if there is a pattern. Then you may find your answear. :) :) :) :) :)

Found this on North Dakota fish dying...

[link to theruthlesstruth.com]

snip
It`s almost got a sulfur smell to it, too,” adds Burau. “I`ve never smelled nothing like it. It smells dead. It`s got the smell of death to it.”
And they want to find out what has made the water go from clear enough to see a half dozen feet down, to the color of a strong cup of coffee in just a matter of days.
“It just keeps getting darker and darker, that water, all the time,” Burau says.
And the gallons upon gallons of pitch black water that`s spilling out of the dam will eventually get to the Mouse River.
“So it`s coming to Minot,” Burau says. “That smell is so bad that you won`t like it.”
The smell is a reminder of the power of Mother Nature.
The members of the Columbus Sportsman`s Club say they want to find what`s killing the fish – not so they can point fingers – but so they can clean up and try to move on.
It is expected to be at least a few years before fish will be able to be caught again at the lake.

Also, thought this was interesting from info about Yellowstone Park

[link to www.nps.gov]

At Mud Volcano: What's that smell?

A. Hydrogen sulfide gas gives the mud pots their infamous "rotten egg" smell. Sulfur, in the form of iron sulfide, gives the features their many shades of gray.

Thanks for adding the ND info After reading your post, I remembered reading that not to long ago. I had forgotten all about it. Lakes are a whole different beast, the fish cant get away if it gets funky like the sea creatures can in the ocean. Honestly I really had not put much thought into Lakes until today with the DC quake. I will have to pay more attention to them now.

I just looked over it, Very interesting. It appears Oklahoma had an eventful year last year also.

"On average there are about 50 measurable earthquakes each year in Oklahoma with only a few of these with shaking strong enough to be felt. 2009 was an exceptional year for seismic activity in Oklahoma with 43 felt earthquakes with 27 of those occurring in Oklahoma County."

[link to www.ogs.ou.edu]

That why all your seismologists are on high alert there. Last year was "Exceptional" and now from what you wrote, this years is shaping up to continue that trend.

There are many changes occuring in coastal Alaska waters.

Some species are crashing in a big way. Salmon runs are either nonexistent, or booming depending on where you are.

I personally feel there are several reasons, the foremost being overfishing. Second is unknown changes in sea conditions-temps, ph, food chain, whatever. In all cases these are migratory fish, so something drastic is happening where ever they go.

Funny you should bring this up OP....
Was visiting with a friend who is from Ireland, she was telling me today that she spoke to her dad last week who still lives in Ireland and that he is a life long fisherman by trade.
He was telling her that the fish were all gone. He was pulling up only a few here and there but mostly nothing to speak of..........................Hmmmm wondering............

Lets keep a look out on this folks

More than 10,000 jellyfish, each about the size of a dinner plate, washed up on Ocean Beach, in San Francisco, last Friday, November 12........

National Park Service spokesman George Durgerian said. Durgerian was incredulous at the sight of the jellyfish. He said he’d only seen an incident like this once before. “It was huge, like a cobblestone walkway made of jellyfish,” he said. Jellyfish packed a section of beach stretching about three miles long and 20 feet wide.........The incident he saw about seven years ago on Ocean Beach

And we have to ask did anything big happen earthquake wise, in Cali 7 years ago??? Why yes...

The December 2003 San Simeon Earthquake was a magnitude 6.5 earthquake on the Central Coast of California, about 7 miles northeast of San Simeon
