Re: How do you like your grits?
I bought a pack of grits, I like mine sweet. Some people think this is nasty, because they are used to eating them salty, with a lil' pepper and some cheese, maybe even some shrimp. How were u taught to eat em?

Salt peeper and butter

i love hominy pudding....yummmm. You guys should try it. Its way better then rice pudding. Same recipe...you just substitute the rice with hominy. It's alright if europe has higher quality food, nobody lives forever.

What's hominy?

Re: How do you like your grits?
As someone who grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and now living in Florida, I never really had grits before I moved. But it does taste almost identical to Farina/Cream of Wheat, just a little (not much) less "creamy." I put some butter & sugar in my grits.

Re: How do you like your grits?
BROWN GRAVY AND GARLIC SALT WITH YELLOW GRITS
ASAGIO CHEESE
HOT SAUCE & BUTTER

PUT LEFTOVERS IN A LOAF PAN & CHILL - SLICE AND FRY WITH BACON OR OTHER MEAT OR MY FAVORITE - CARMELIZED ONIONS - THE EUROPEANS CALL THIS POLENTA

BOB'S RED MILL HAS YELLOW GRITS PRE COOKED - THEY ONLY TAKE
A FEW MINUTES TO PREPARE

I'M FROM THE NORTH AND MY HUSBAND ATE GRITS EVERY NIGHT BEFORE BED

Hominy maybe (which if I understand right, Hominy grits is just corn kernels left to soak in a weak lye solution so they expand & get soft)

"Grits" are just coarsely ground hominy which resembles Farina (cream of wheat) but made of corn instead of wheat.
