Anonymous Coward User ID: 1038777 New Zealand 07/17/2010 04:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last time it errupted, it turned the skys red in rome, and in china, i remember on the news last year some time, they had to evacuate a town, along the edge of the lake, because the birds had all, disapared, and one of the creeks dried up, a sign of movement beneath the surface. Even Auckland City sits on a volcanic landscape, Wellington sits on a quake line too, I heard, and they also exspect a big one, one day. In saying that, there appares to be some areas that is just solid rock, there was an 8. somthing earthquake down the bottom of the south island year or so ago, hardly did any damage, and no loss of life, that was about the same time as the taupo activity, recored many small earthquakes around the lake. Following link i find very good for keep track of the vocanic and earthquake activity here in NZ, bound to be a drum near your area :). [link to www.geonet.org.nz] |
