If the first well blew out on feb 3, then why didn't any oil hit the beaches? Surely it wouldn't take 4 months.



The well blew, but the BOP on that one worked like it was suppose to and shut off the oil and gas flow. That is why their was no oil flowing then from well A. But I think that they did not expect the BOP on that well to hold forever and that is why they rushed the well B, RELIEF! well that blew on April 20th and it's BOP did not work.
