The only "hold up" possible from now until complete collapse is the "hold up your hands and give us your property" move by government.

Each of our existences here is simply a soul fragment instance, probably simultaneously occurring with endless other instances, so that we can learn and experience areas where our soul needs improvement.

I suspect that there is a reset on this particular location coming--as humans are losing the roots of that make this location a good learning experience.
