Anonymous Coward User ID: 1021078 United States 07/25/2010 06:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No leak. Why do phony threads like this get pinned? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 967912Because this site is bullshit. This is a paying member and they need to get their money's worth even if their post us utter horse shit. Didn't even have a picture of screen shot or video and it gets pinned. Anyways they are most likely looking at the leaking seals in the cap or the frozen hydrates on the BOP. Either way they shit has been there for weeks. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 652750 United States 07/25/2010 07:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: ZOSIME At link, BP says: The MC252 well remains shut-in at this time and monitoring continues. Pressure continues to slowly increase and is approximately 6900 psi. We anticipate the next update will be provided at around 9:30am CDT on July 26, 2010. Maybe, if we're nice about it, they'll tell us tomorrow what is going on. |
RF User ID: 503158 United States 07/25/2010 07:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The big black blob is methane hydrate. As the methane gas is released into the sea it freezes almost instantly. Inside of the well the temperature is around 400 defees F, the water is around 32 degrees F or freezing. The salt content in the water lowers the water temperature so the water itself does not freeze. As the oil, which has a high methane percentage escapes it flash freezes. That is the big build up of black stuff you are seeing. Although the oil does not freeze, the methane bubbles trapped inside of it do. Hope this helps. |

BloodRed User ID: 1033557 United States 07/25/2010 08:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ~ Okay. Right now they've got a special show on CNN called "Rescue: Saving The Gulf"... it is SUCH BULLSHIT. Silly reporter with little oil smudges on his hard hat... they're not showing anywhere NEAR the amount of either surface oil or underwater plumes that people have proved exist... and during a quick newsbreak, one of the updates was the fact that BP is going to post a $4 BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT on Tuesday. ~ NOT A SINGLE PERSON WEARING A RESPIRATOR EITHER!! ~ I am of the belief that the WRONG PEOPLE are going to end up dying from all of this... :ttb: ~ Y'all Are CrAzY Doom Tards!! But I love y'all anyway... well, not the shills, not so much... ~ ~ Wanna know what we're all here for? THEY know: [link to www.youtube.com] ... So if _THEY_ can manage this, why in the world are WE such hateful fail-tards, people ........ ? ~ |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1005671 United States 07/25/2010 08:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This specific well is pushing 40% Methane and that is a lot percentage wise. 5% is a normal consistency. Combine that with another fact, this blow out is the worst oil disaster ever. The sheer volume of Methane that is being pumped out is unreal. I even consider the circus act bp and gov are playing with the flow numbers is a purposefull diversion from Methane flow rates. The Officials already confirmed a massive pocket of methane at the reserves top side. The size of the Methane cloud should be so gigantic it should make the oil spill look like a small puddle. |

Quoting: RF 503158Hope this helps. thank you yes that helped but where did this come from is it leaking and freezing as it comes out or just flaoted by and built up on that spot? It is the methane that is the scary part I think. I mean the build up of the gases |
