| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1031138 07/27/2010 03:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a thread up that is saying that some hospitals are running out of drugs.. I just have this sneaky feeling that this is going to be a big issue, in the times to come... Just getting a discussion going on some other remedies might be a useful exercise. Not necessarily just about Thyroxin. |

Many times this is just a reaction to certain enviromental problems. People in Las Vegas have horrible thyroid issues. Make sure you stay away from all flouride products, including water. Want more help, let me know. |

Checkmate --- Do you know why they have huge thyroid probs in Las Vegas? I do believe that there are many reason for this condition -Hypothyroidism that is. Yes fluoride is a poison for sure... I keep coming up with this T4 component... that is also necessary to adjust this condition... I read that a woman who had been taking the small pill for 20 years found that here thyroid was working again quite naturally ... so what happened to cause this cure? I understand this is an endocrine disorder -- wonder whatt has upset the system... Doeds anyone know about underlying emotional triggers... |
| htp,nli User ID: 977661 07/27/2010 11:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Haven't heard of "emotional triggers" as a cause of hypothyroidism. Main culprits are hereditary and/or environmental toxins(endocrine disruptors). Here are some resources for further research www.JaniceNovak.com www.aace.com www.Thyroid.org www.EndoSociety.org www.allthyroid.org In my own case, I believe it is a combination of over exposure to methylene chloride in my late teens/early twenties, plus a vicious bout of mononucleosis in my early thirties. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my early forties. |

The energy hits at just about that spot where the thyroid sits just below the adams apple (which i dont have as I am female) HAHA!! My doctor told me that the thyroid was just exhausted. but I dont entirely believe that.. Very young people get this too.. As far as heredity - no-one to my knowledge in my family had this. Yes I also read that a shock to the system can destabilise the thyroid.. The shock of the monoucleosis could have brought it on for you.. I am diabetic also so the pancreas isnt woring very well either. |

There is Iodine as you say and so far came up the drug you said has a derivative of the amino acid tyrosine which gets made in the liver from other amino acids. But thyroid issues in my own view are tagged with Sodium fluoride screwing everything up. You are the CEO of your own wellness. You need to take back your health from the disease-care system |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 519421 07/28/2010 04:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I recently heard of an interesting remedy for high blood pressure... beetroot juice.. It lowers blood pressure quickly. This was from a British Medical Research Journal... I have also read on various natural cure sites that cinnamon does as well. I don't know how valid this is but just passing it on for those who want to research it. With all the natural cures it's wise to check with your doctor first if you are on any kind of meds to make sure the natural cures don't interfere with (or increase effects of) the prescribed meds. |

| htp,nli User ID: 977661 07/28/2010 07:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree OP, I would love to find a natural alternative. I understand now why my doctor was so glib when he told me I had hypothyroidism. I have to go in for a blood test twice a year and a physical once a year. Guaranteed income for him as long as I live. He has no interest in exploring an optimum path for my health. He just wants to write a prescription. I have called around to a bunch of non-traditional doctors. They all want cash up front and they all require that I maintain my relationship with my allopathic doctor. On one hand, I am grateful that the synthetic hormone replacement has helped me a lot, but on the other, I hate the idea of taking a pill everyday for the rest of my life and being tied to a doctor like this. I am doing everything I can in terms of lifestyle to help, but I really wish there was a cure, not just a lifelong maintenance regime. I quit coffee. Drastically cut back on tobacco. Eliminated virtually all processed foods from my diet. Use almond or rice milk in my cooking and smoothies. Use an iodine supplement, etc.,etc. etc., blah, blah, blah. But in the end, I still need the hormone replacement. Wish I could find about a 10 year supply on the black market. |
