The Shaman Thread - questions for Shamans
1) What are the best books to read to really learn?

2) Can a person studying shamanism specialize in what interests them?

3) I'm interested in plant shamanism - not for drug effects but for hybridizing. Do plants communicate with shamans?

Any and all genuine advice appreciated. Thanks.

1. The Way of the Shaman, by Michael Harner. That is a good start.

2. Absolutely, there are many aspects of shamanism out there. What a shaman does is effect a cure. If you cure, or heal, you are performing shamanism. There are many ways to cure and heal others, or yourself.

3. Absolutely. It is possible to form personal connections with plants in order to learn their benefits and knowledge.

Ask me anything you would like to know about shamanism, I can point you in the right direction.
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.
