Re: what to do with my habanero peppers?
you can simply thread them on a string and dry them to be reconstituted crushed or powdered. or you can mix them with fruit ie raspberry or cranberries and can a preserve to be used on meats and what not, very few peppers will do a lot of preserves. very tasty!!

MASTER TONIC - A Natural Antibiotic for H1N1
.
Raw Unfiltered Unbleached Non-distilled Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs)
1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves
1 part fresh chopped White Onion (or hottest onions)
1 part fresh grated Ginger Root
1 part fresh grated Horseradish Root
1 part fresh chopped Cayenne Peppers
or the hottest peppers available

Fill a glass jar 3/4 of the way full w/equal parts by volume (i.e. a
cupful each) of the above fresh chopped and grated herbs.
.
Then fill jar to the top with RAW, Unfiltered, unbleached, non-distilled
apple cider vinegar. Close and shake vigorously and then top off the
vinegar if necessary.
Shake at least once a day for two weeks, then filter the mixture through
a clean piece of cotton (old T-shirt, etc.), bottle and label. Make sure
that when you make this tonic that you shake it every time you walk by
it, a minimum of once per day.
.
Remember that all the herbs and vegetables should be fresh (and
organically grown if possible) and use dried herbs only in an emergency.
.
This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh.
It's power should not be underestimated. This formula is a modern day
plague tonic and when added to an incurable routine it can cure the most
chronic conditions and stubborn diseases. it stimulates maximum blood
circulation, while putting the best detoxifying herbs into the blood.
This formula is not just for the sniffles, it has helped to turn around
the deadliest infections like some of the new mutated killer viruses
that defy conventional antibiotics.
.
The dosage is 1/2 to 1 ounce, two or more times daily (1-2 Tbs.). Gargle
and swallow. (DON'T DILUTE with WATER.)
.
For ORDINARY infections, 1 dropper full taken 5-6 times a day will deal
with most conditions. It can be used during pregnancies, is safe for
children (use smaller doses and as a food is completely non-toxic. Make
up plenty as it does NOT need refrigeration and LASTS INDEFINITELY
WITHOUT ANY SPECIAL STORAGE CONDITIONS.
.
Ingredient properties:
-Garlic cloves (anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral,
anti-parasitical)
-White Onion, or hottest onions available (similar properties to garlic)
-Ginger Root (increases circulation to the extremities)
-Horseradish Root (increases blood flow to the head)
-Cayenne Peppers, or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero,
African Bird, -or Scotch Bonnets, etc. (a great blood stimulant).
Pro-biotic: antiviral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitical.
.
(Comes from The University of Natural Healing: Dr. Richard Schultzs'
adaption of Dr. Christophers' original anti-plague tonic)
.
They added: Start a batch on the new moon and end it on the new moon.
You can even let it go two months.

To dry any vegetable, put them in the oven with only the pilot light burning, if its a gas oven. In 24 hours your vegetables with have no water in them and can be crushed to powder.

Slice them and put them on your already deep fried chicken wings. pop in a broiler for a few minutes until the juices seep into the wings. Cold beer is a must.

Re: what to do with my habanero peppers?
Wear rubber gloves when handling ANY hot peppers. This is a must! If you want to dry them, thread them on a string with a sewing needle and hang them up so they air-dry.
If you want to use them to cook with. wear the gloves, cut off the tops, remove ribs and all seeds. Chop them up very finely and you can use them in a sauce or however you like. But wear rubber gloves so the oils do not burn you!

Re: what to do with my habanero peppers?
I cook with ground up dried Habeneros, haven't had a chest cold in years!

I can't eat dairy now but I used to go get a brick of Velveeta cheese and mix in one can of wolf brand chili the kind with no beans and stir in some ground up dried of fresh habeneros.......Use as a fondu/hot type dip...my gawd it's awesome! Especially on those huge dip sized fritos.
A cold quality beer and it's better than sex!

I so wish I could eat like this still.

Re: what to do with my habanero peppers?
I make my own hotsauce - better than store bought !

2 cups of peppers (cut the stem cap off)
1 8 oz can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon salt

(wear gloves when handling peppers - trust me on this one)

Put all ingredients in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 30 min.
Pour mixture into a blender (or food processor) and puree until smooth. Strain mixture through a strainer to remove pulp (save the pulp). Place strained mixture into a bottle or jar and refrigerate (I use empty Worcestershire sauce bottles).
Put the pulp in a ziplock baggie an freeze - use the next time you want to make a spicy salsa or chili.

Waaaaaaaaaay too hot to be useful for everyday cooking.

IMO....grind them up to fine dust, get and add them to a hand held spray bottle, add some vegetable oil, and a small amount of liquid dish soap.....add some water.....

...and now you you have animal repellent for your garden veggies for next season.
