What is the WEIRDEST story that has EVER happened to you in YOUR LIFE

I once got a phone call from a hysterical woman demanding that I tell her where her missing son was. I had no idea who this woman was or who her son was or why she had my phone number. She told me that according to her son I was one of his good friends even though they lived in a different state that I had never even visited and I am not a fan of social networking, she even confirmed my identity just to make sure she had the right person which was pretty freaky. Anyway, I told her i hoped that her son would be found and hung up. I never heard from her again and never did find out who those people were.

THAT'S GOOD! Very freaky! Reminds me of the time we kept getting a call in the middle of the night from some drugged up lady, slurring and half out of it - threatening to "come beat the shit outta me." ROFL I kept telling her she had the wrong number. About the 5th time she called we realized we needed backup and my father answered with a really deep voice and told her really seriously she was going to be in BIG trouble. She never called again! LOL

hey lay off, this is supposed to be fun and that was an AMAZING atory! As we go through our lives and maturity, we don't always do things according to the manual.

My wife and I were visiting Paris. It was our first time in Paris together, and we ended up booking at a cute, little hotel we found on the Net. I had been to Paris several times before on business, but I didn't really know the layout of the city well, and I ended up booking a place that was a longer walk from the Seine and most of the tourist stuff than would have been ideal. It was one of those basic, European hotels, built into a rowhouse, with a very small lobby and maybe a dozen or so rooms. It wasn't the most impressive place to bring your wife on her first visit to Paris, but as we had pre-paid and she didn't seem the least bit put out, we signed in and went up to our room.

It was your quintessential European hotel room. A barely queen bed, with just a couple of feet of space between the bed and the wall on the sides and maybe a luxurious additional foot or two beyond the foot of the bed. Not a place to hang out. So we showered, changed, and hit the streets as bona fide tourists.

We were there for three nights, and while the hotel was cozy, we bounced out of it first thing in the morning and never returned until we were ready to go straight to bed. Everything was splendid, until the third and final night. At some point in the middle of the night, I was startled from my sleep by a terrific scream from my wife. She has never screamed like that, before or since, and I bolted awake. She was sitting up straight, staring at the foot of the bed, and she whispered that she had just seen a man standing there. She was certain it was a ghost. I was far less certain, but kept those thoughts to myself and whispered to her gently until she went back to sleep. I followed her shortly thereafter.

When we woke up and began packing, I asked her about the ghost. She described the man in detail, an older gent, bald, funny nose, in a suit. She had never seen him before and had no idea who he was, and while we chatted about it casually, I could see there was still some tension in her voice behind her light tone.

We headed down to the lobby to begin the checkout process. The owner of the hotel, who had been working the desk the first night, was again in attendance, and he and I began the paperwork. My wife drifted into a small lounge to the side of the front desk, an area we had completely skipped during our touristy comings and goings. As the owner ran the credit card, we began chatting, and I asked him about the history of the hotel. He explained that it had once been a psychiatric hospital, but the state had closed it a few decades back, and it had been turned into a hotel. He was the second owner. We chatted for a couple more minutes as I signed off on the bill. I thanked him for his hospitality, and I wandered over to fetch my wife.

She was standing perfectly still in the lounge staring at a picture on the wall. As I came up beside her, she turned to me. Her face was pale, and she was trembling. She pointed to the picture.

That's him.

That's who?

That's the man I saw in the room last night.

I looked at the photo. It was an old black and white photograph, a portrait of a rather unremarkable looking old guy with a bit of misshapen nose. There were no markings of any sort on the photo. My wife was really upset, and while I had a history of discounting any and all ghost stories, I was beginning to feel a shade of discomfort.

The owner was emerging from behind the desk, so I asked him, as casually as possible, who was the old fellow in the photo.

Ah, he used to run the hospital here. He was the head psychiatrist at the institution here for almost 20 years.

My wife grabbed my arm. I nodded, thanked him again, and we walked out as quickly and quietly as politely possible. My wife did not let go of my arm until we were a full three blocks away.

I spent a summer praying and fasting, making sure I prayed at least 1 hour every day. That summer was filled with miracles and manifestations of God's power.


One evening my mother came to visit and we were eating in a local restaurant. My mother asked me to go out into the parking lot to her car and get her purse and gave me the keys to her car, a blue hyundai.

I went to the car and put the key in but could not open the door. Feeling foolish and frustrated I beseeched the Lord to help me open the door. Almost immediately afterwards the key turned and the car door popped open.

Whoops, turns out it was the wrong car and not even a Hyundai!

Other than that I've seen UFOs, seen demons materialize and dematerialize, been stalked by armed cult leaders, had a number of prophetic visions come true, been attacked by a devil worshipping cult running a prostitution ring out of a head shop, climbed thousand foot high cliffs while inebriated, and held a dying woman in my arms who'd been shot by a teenage african american drug dealer. So just the usual stuff.

That is EXACTLY how my sister and her best friend became friends.

My sister threw a pen across the room in English class one day, and it landed PERFECTLY in her friend's hand, as though she was writing something. They burst out laughing at that moment in an otherwise silent room, and have been best friends ever since.

Huh? Why would I lie about some of the stupid things I did in my youth, or some of the awesome things the Lord has done in my life, to Him be the glory.

i was at SXSW (a music fest in texas) on a whim with a few travellers i met on the coast of canada.
anyways im at the bar, and someone says hey is that bill murray?
and points to a guy behind the bar. im like, yeahhh right
being drunk i go up to him, order a beer. he pours me a
glass of tequila. i say are you bill murray? hes like
yes, but whoever you tell this story to will NEVER believe you.
not a lot of people do haha.

but a realllly weird one.
this summer i was camped in the bush for a few months.
it was quite a hike (20 mins) on a very unmarked, overgrown trail
to my little home. anyways, when i was working at the
surf school one day i met a group of guys from ireland
who were looking for a free place to stay, so I offered
that they come and camp out with me. (the more the better
with the amount of cougars in the area and any 21 year old
girl loves drinking beer with hot tourists.) anyways, they
showed up, unpacked ect and went to bed after crushing
a few 6 packs of beer each. i'm tending to my fire for a
bit longer and this guy appears and says hes travelling with
the irish guys i invited over. we talk for hours, drink some rum
and i go to bed.
wake up in the morning and all their stuff (passports, visas, money) has been stolen
but none of mine. they had no idea who this guy was.
ive never seen him before, or again. and keep in mind
this was so far off the beaten path.. gives me the creeps still.

Was flying into Atlanta at night, we were about 5000ft in the air.. Out of the left side of the plane , there was an orange ball hovering/following near us. Everyone on that side of the plane was looking out the window at it. People were kind of scared, most were saying "what's that? " .. Many people were visibly agitated. It was NOT a building light, a tower light or something like that. We were too high for that, and it was too close to the plane to be anything man-made.. It scared me at the time, I thought we were about to get boarded by aliens , haha. I kept thinking of the movie Millennium.

About 10 years ago, I was walking beneath the Space Needle in Seattle and I was about 15 feet away from someone that was hit from above, someone had thrown a beer bottle from the top of the Space Needle!

I stopped at an offramp on I-80 in sacramento to give a homeless vet some money. He had the strangest eyes, they were yellow with vertical slits like cat eyes or lizard eyes. About an hour later I was south toward modesto and stopped for gas. At the gas station was a much older man, 30 years older at least wearing camo fatigues who asked me for a quarter. When I looked at his face the eyes were exactly the same, yellow with vertical slits. It was the same man I saw an hour before, only 30 years or more older.

When I was about twelve my Grandma and I came back to my mum and dads house.
As we went into the living room we noticed what appeared to be an earth worm crawling accross the blank TV screen. (the telly was off)
As we watched it it just dissapeared into the side of the screen as if it went into a gap.
We where both very unnerved to say the least. Suffice to say no one else in the family believed us, disrespectful as my Grandma was always an honest woman.
It was very stange and I stayed away from the TV after that.

When I was a child, and I can't really remember my exact age, just that I was not in highschool yet, me and my mother and my sister (single mother) sometimes switched beds, this day it was midsummer and the dog, quite a large heavy dog was sleeping at my feet while it was my turn to sleep in mums bed.

I woke up with the dog growling , not your regular growl at all. You could hear he was actually scared. It was the middle of the night and I suddenly realise I can SEE the dog, I see him staring straight at the window with incredible focus and tension. Its only then that I realised "why" I could see the dog. There was a light flashing, a blue light with the regularity of heartbeat.

I got up to pet the dog and tell him to be quiet, that is how I know I wasn't dreaming because he not only woke me up, I could feel the strain in him when I was petting him, but you can't help to look outside to see what he's getting at.
There was a huge , really HUGE blue orb in the sky, hovering from left to right over the treetops and other houses. Just a blue orb that flahsed ablue light and I could see everywhere into the garden where normally it would have been pitchdark. Too dark to see anything.

I remember standing at the window staring in complete awe, how slow it was hovering, I think I stood there for a whole 10 minutes before It finally floated out of sight. I even remember myself thinking "I have to get the camera!" ... I ran straight down to fetch it and go outside, the dog too afraid to follow (not blaming him , he always was a bit of a coward :p)

Remember standing outside barefooted with the camera in my hand, the blue flashing light still visible but the orb was already out of sight. I know it was not an orb lightening because there first of all, was no storm, no clouds, and orb lightenings go fast and irratic in their movements. This went slow, in one straight line, from left to right.
And it was HUGE

A few years ago I was on a trip to France. We made a stop in Lourdes one afternoon to visit the site of the virgin mary apparition. I've never taken any kind of religious stories to heart but I decided to take a picture of the statue of Mary anyway.

Every time I attempted to take the picture my camera would just turn off as if the batteries died. I tried this about 5 times with the same result. I wasn't too upset as I didn't have the best angle to take a photo anyway with all the tourists.

Anyway, my group started walking away so I caught up with them while still playing around with the camera. As we were walking I snapped a picture of my friend to see if it would work, with no problems whatsoever.

Later on while going through my pictures I came across my test photo of my friend and was stunned to find a photo of the virgin mary statue from a perfect angle with no tourists in the way... taken after the one of my friend.

I still don't know what to think of that.

She was trying to tell you something. I grew up 15-20 minutes away from the North End in Boston,MA, where they had(might still have going on~ the feasts for the Saints~it was a very long time ago for me) I was a little girl and sometimes my parents would take me. Well, I was watching on the news, and remember the news showing that a camera that was filming the statue of St. Mary, caught her closing her eyes and opening them when they replayed the video! That was unforgettable for me. It obviously left an impact, because I don't remember anything else I watched on the news when I was a little girl. lol

One that came to mind:

I had started dating this guy.

He was talking about his Aunt G and what a character she was.

I said she sounded like my best friend's Aunt GE (pronounced slightly differently.)

It turned out it was the same aunt!

My new boyfriend's aunt was my best friend's aunt (by marriage) and they hadn't known each other.

Holy shitty luck !!

it all started with a quaalude and a sixpack.

then i woke up the next afternoon.

Died, came back into this really effed up reality.

being fucking born and existing on this plane.

fucking strangest life ever.

When i was about 4, i remember sitting in the hallway staring at the light bulb, then closing my eyes so that i could see the burnt image of the bulb filament. The filament was kinda shaped like a horseshoe or "C".

I kept doing it repeatedly, staring at the bright filament, then closing my eyes to see the horseshoe shape in my eyes.

Suddenly i heard "ping!" and then another "ping!"

Two brass horseshoes had fell out of the air and landed on the carpet next to me! They had good luck written on them!

They were about the size of an average coin.
I'm convinced i did NOT dream this! But don't even ask me to explain it. I can't.

I'm sure i recall having the horseshoes for a while after.
