So when the cop pulls you over for not using your blinker, broken headlight or tail lights, swerving in traffic, or any other moving violation you'll be secure in knowing you're an American citizen. You'll still get a ticket though which sucks.

If you don't speak English you're going to be scrutinized a little more, oh no! Having your passport on you would be a good idea considering you're in another country. They can check your status with that information to see if you're here legally. If you are then there shouldn't be a problem.

Not to mention that Federal Law requires you to carry your papers already....all this law was doing was requiring the police to check for those papers...thats what they shot down the Requirement to check, they're still allowed to check however, but some won't because they'll be too afraid of a lawsuit to be bothered with protecting the country.
