My wife wants to name our soon-to-be-born son "Eric"...I want him named "Mason"... | |

I don't even remember what name was my top anymore, but I ended up liking the second choice better. It ended up being the perfect name for my son. Blessings to you and congratulations! |

The best way to tell is the old fashioned tried and true method. Write down your options for full names. First, middle and last on a piece of paper. Then both you and your wife should very quietly walk outside your back door at about 5-6 pm in the evening, taking the paper with you. Take the first name off of the list and have your wife yell: "Firstname Middlename Lastname!!! Time for dinner!!!!!" If no one yells at you, comes running or tosses a shoe at you then you you have a contender. You would be surprised how the sound of a name changes when Mom is calling you back in the house and means business. Edited to add: This method helped my Father convince my mother that Sabrina Eugina (brie for short)would NOT be in my best interest and that no child should have the same name or nick name as a cheese. Old is the new NEW. Eric is really strong. Someone mentioned Merrick. or Meric..Jason isn't James, but nice. All the Masons in my daughter's class, btw, are female. |

It used to be that someone became famous because they were special. Now people are considered special just for being famous. Fame, itself, is now a moral good in this country. It's its own virtue. |

Most of the boys are cowboy types. I like Eric. "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." William Shakespeare |

Choose a traditional saint's name. They will watch over your child if you ask them...they will become your child's patron saint. Michael, John, Stephen, Philip, etc. Mary, Joan, Ann, Cecila, etc. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1054105Erick or Mason for my son to be born in 12 days or so. ...........Personally, I dislike both names!!! the best thing to do is to google 'numerology' there are many sites that will give you a FREE numerological reading of any name........simply enter each first name, middle name and your last name......perhaps by reading the type of things each name means will help you choose the really right one!!..don't forget middle names are important too, as well as the initials....just a thought......it sure couldn't hurt, and it's free.....also, if you want a very detailed report, those are available too, for a small fee...and usually emailed to you in a few hours at most......Think about it!!!! |
