Well, as you can see, I'm a bit "far" from you. But considering your current position about providing a DNA sample from yourself in order to make a comparision with your younger self, I'm sure ANYBODY here with enough curiosity (and time) will surely colaborate in order to do it.

This person/group should make personal contact with you, extract a blood sample, make DNA tests on it, and then move to get a DNA sample from your younger self in this time, elaborating a plan that will allow them to get that sample in such way no one in your family will ever know.

It CAN be done.

So, OP is willing to provide a direct DNA sample in order to compare it with his younger self on this time to corroborate his story of being a time traveler if the people that will do that task can guarantee that his family on this time will never know anything about it.

I spent 15 years of my childhood in seclusion in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I was always curious about what had happened and why there weren't more people. When we went back to Boulder after about 15 years, it was eerily quiet compared to what my parents remembered. I know of a place where there will be a large group of people who survive. Many of those survivors came to Boulder and told us of their ordeals.

This time around, I am going to spend my 15 years with more than just 2 other people (my parents).

I only need to hangout for a year, then make my travel preparations to my final destination. I only need enough money to last that long and get me there. Afterwards the pieces of paper will only be useful as kindling.

I don't have a car or a license, I don't even know how to drive. The first time I saw a car that worked (that I can remember) is when we first moved back to Boulder I think in 2027.

Let me introduce myself, My name is Jacob Time.

I have been enjoying the internet of this time. And enjoying this website. Thanks.

So far my participation has been limited, but now I will answer any of your questions that I can.

My mission-
It was a one way trip for me. I came with the vintage clothes on my back, a backpack full of medical supplies, food, and the currency of this time.
I brought approximately 18,200 American Dollars and several pieces of gold jewelry including a ring and dental crown my father once owned.
I can't go back, I wouldn't want to if I could. I was the guinea pig for a time travel experiment conducted in Boulder Colorado on Wednesday August 8th 2040 at about 10am MST.

How I got here-
I was chosen to be one of the first participants in an experiment dealing with time travel. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the experiment, I was prepped and introduced to the equipment over a 2 week introductory course. During my 2 weeks I witnessed any number of objects and live animals transported through spacetime with an efficiency close to 92%.
Meaning, as they would tell us, an 8 error rate. 8% of the objects transported through spacetime were disintegrated into a pile of mush that had a horrible burning odor attached to them.
The pet joke is that 8 percent "burn out"
They narrowed down our initial group to 3 prospects. We agreed to play one round of poker to determine who would go first. I lost to 3 of a kind and 2 pair respectively. So I got to be the lucky son-of-a-bitch who "volunteered" first. I was given a set of instructions to follow, but don't worry its not overly complicated.

Rule 1, I can't kill anybody.
Rule 2, I can't say or do anything that would result in someones death.
Rule 3, I can't prevent someone from dying who was supposed to die.

There is still a lot I can say without breaking the rules. And as far as I know, there is no way they can prevent me from doing it.
I am supposed to live out my life in this time, so I'll be around for a while.

This is when they sent me back to, 30 years. I can't go back because the time travel machine hasn't been invented yet. Besides I don't think it goes forward. I've never seen them send anything forward, only backward. I asked the question once, I remember now, I asked "Why not send the frog forward in time by 10 minutes, wouldn't it just disappear now and reappear in 10 minutes." To which they said basically I didn't know what I was talking about and to shut up.

But still, since the machine doesn't even work until around 2040, I will have to wait 30 years to even be able to use it again.

How do I know you? Were you also sent back? Were you sent back to a time before my arrival or did you arrive recently?

My parents I will most likely never see again. Although I have used the google search engine a few times on their names.

I had never seen a computer until we moved back to Boulder around 2027, I was around 17 years old. All the computers they had there were Unix based systems. I bought a cheapo Windows computer so I could get on the Internet though. I like the Windows its pretty to play with. Although, as soon as I hooked it up I got invaded, so I had to setup a router and firewall. I'm still learning about computers so please take it easy on me.

Jacob or Jake if you prefer is my first name. Time is not my last name, but I do kind of like it. I'm thinking of introducing myself as Mr. Time.

There was no electricity for a long time. When we went back to Boulder around 2027 I think it was, they already had electricity up and running again. The time travel machine was developed there. They call it the Popper.

2 dozen selectee's were inducted into a 2 week evaluation and training program. 3 of us were asked to continue on past the first week.

We were chosen for our willingness to volunteer. Under the context that we might possibly save the future. I don't know what the eventual goal is, possibly to change the timeline so things don't turn out so horribly. Or maybe just to collect information about what in the hell happened.

What I know is, I was the first human to go through the machine.

And there should be 2 other people coming behind me. Whether they are already here, or show up in the next year or so, I don't know.

Well it's pretty easy to know if he's telling the truth or not. You only need to extract a DNA sample from him and compare it with his younger self of this time. Oh, and yes, he sais he'll AGREE with that if some precautions are taken.
