Go to hell if you are not born again? Think again!
5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You[c] must be born again.

Here jesus says you can not enter the kingdom of god unless your born again. But if you are not born again then you are just flesh with no spirit. So how can you go to hell if you are only flesh and your flesh dies?

The myths of an afterlife of torture and misery for the wicked were around in various flavors long before the God of Israel. These beliefs were widespread in the pagan world. And then our God comes along, befriends Abram and gives Israel His counsel and His laws, but mentions *nothing* about any alleged fate of endless torment. Search the old testament - it's simply not there. And then, against his command, His people adopt the corrupt ways of the neighboring heathen nations, and ends up incorporating the ancient fairy tales of hellfire into their beliefs. Since then it's snowballed into a humongous idol that few in the church dare to examine. But when we do, we'll find that it's unscriptural and that it entirely contradicts the nature of a Person who would humble himself to nothing and literally die for his enemies.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Perish means to pass from existence

So here you see that you die and seize to exist if you do not believe.

Jesus calls us to forgive our enemies. Why do we believe that he's going turn right around and *damn* his enemies forever & ever? Such a thing would make Him the biggest hypocrite in the cosmos.

Re: Go to hell if you are not born again? Think again!
Let's look at something:

The 1st chapter of Hebrews calls Christ the "express image" (in Greek, charakter) of God.

Christ Himself said "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father."

If we examine the actions, words and demeanor displayed by Christ in the gospels, do we see anything there that might indicate that He's concerned about people plunging into an abyss of unending misery, or that he would allow such a thing to happen?

He spoke with a woman taken in the act of adultery, and said not one word about hell, judgment, or even repentance. He actually seemed focused on revealing the hearts of her blood-thirsty accusers. He told her "I don't condemn you; go and sin no more."

He met a woman at a well who was apparently living with a man she was not married to, and it comes out that she had been shacked up with men several times before. He didn't issue one peep about her eternal fate, or the consequences of her sins. And as they spoke, the conversation eventually touched on the nature of worship. Why would He engage in such a topic, if this chick was a mere heartbeat away from hellfire? Why didn't He warn her? Today's christians certainly would have - we'd be climbing on her face about the destiny of her eternal soul, wouldn't we?

There was a rich man who came to Jesus asking him what he needs to do to acquire eternal life. Jesus told him to sell all his possessions and give the funds to the poor. The man went away sad, because he owned so much he would have to part with. Did Jesus go after him? Read him the riot act about his idolatry? Confont him with the severity of his afterlife? No, He graciously allowed the guy to go on his way and consider his plight on his own terms instead of putting him on the spot in front of an audience.

Furthermore, Hebrews 1 also says that Christ is the heir of "all things" (Greek pas, meaning "all"). What is our Shepherd likely to do with "all"? Leave us to the consequences of our defective, blinded freewill? Or perhaps seek and save even the last lone straggler? In John 6, he says that He'll lose *nothing* of what He was given. If He was given all, and will lose nothing of that all, it sounds like "all" is in good hands, yes?

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Consideration of this kind of info, along with the realization that English terms such as "hell" and "forever" are mistranslations of the original Greek, should start to dispel the errors of Egypt's twisted doctrine like a bad dream.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 554016

The manuscripts say "Born from Above"..
Born from Above is not like you hear from most churches.
Born from above is knowing who you are and how you become born from above.
The woman drops her water (not like the angels that left their habitation, their first estate, but side stepped being born of woman.) So the water is the water sack of being born of flesh, again not side stepping the plan of God to be born through a woman's womb.
To be born from Above means you are born of the Holy Spirit hearing the Spirit of God.
Simple!
But watch what will be said now by the bible thumpers who are mis-taught and don't know that it says "Born from Above" the manuscripts.
You be born from above totally means you take off the flesh man or woman and put on the Holy Spirit and walk in that spirit learning from the Holy Spirit the truth of what was, what is, and what will be. You walk in the Spirit of God learning to shuck the flesh man off.
Simple.

Re: Go to hell if you are not born again? Think again!
The English language did not exist back in bible days. We English-speakers are dependent upon translations of the original Greek & Hebrew. There's been substantial leaven introduced via the translation process. For example, the Greek word aion means "age", but was somehow translated "world" 38 times throughout the new testament. That's a pretty serious matter when scripture mentions the "end of the age" but they've instead fed us the phrase "end of the world". It changes the meaning completely, and taints our beliefs.

The Greek word aionios means "of the age" or "during the age", yet the New Testamant has used the word "eternal" or "everlasting" in its place 67 of the 71 times it occurs. They've taken an indefinite period of time, contingent upon the "age" in question, and instead told us that it means an "endless" stretch of time, or "eternity". This is a pretty big problem, considering that Psalms tells us that God's anger lasts but a moment. Through manipulation of words, the Father's finite period of discipline and purification for the wicked has now become their infinite torture. And millions believe it to be true.

Re: Go to hell if you are not born again? Think again!
Now let us not get carried away here, what is all this damned to hell stuff, about! Jesus came to save, and to teach of Gods Love/Mercy/Compassion/Forgiveness.

Those who live by the Law shall be judged by the Law.
Those who live by faith shall be judged on faith.

We are not to judge, or to condemn, but to love one another, and try to live by what is right, and just, and to have respect for one another. Mercy is the heart of Gods love for us.

Concern yourself about yourself, and leave others concern themselves with their selves.

Spread the word of love/mercy/compassion/forgiveness.
John came to baptize with water, but the holy spirit will baptize us with fire. There is not one soul that God wants to lose, and through repentance we can obtain mercy and forgiveness.

There are many that follow other teachings, and as christians say we are right, so they think they are right, when we all know the truth, and we are faced with it, and repent and accept it, we shall be forgiven, and if those who still do refuse it when faced with it then it is God judgement that falls upon them not ours.

Jesus loves all hf
