White Serial Killer Stalks Black Men in Flint.

Police on Friday released a composite drawing of a suspected serial killer believed responsible for stabbing 13 men since May, five of them fatally.

A spokeswoman for Flint Mayor Dayne Walling said investigators are hoping someone recognizes the man in the drawing and calls police.

The drawing shows a white man with a mustache and goatee; he's wearing a baseball cap and has a distinctive stud piercing the top of his left ear.

Many in Flint are wondering why it took officials so long to tell the public that a large white man with a knife and an urge to kill apparently has been targeting black men walking alone in the late night or early morning. Police have said all but one of the stabbing victims was African-American.

"Too often the death of African-Americans, particularly young black males, is minimized, and the value of their lives is minimized," said Lorna Latham, president and CEO of the Urban League of Flint.

"The fact that the perpetrator is white and the victims are overwhelmingly black suggests that the victims are being targeted because they're black, and this case must be aggressively pursued as a hate crime."
