The last two terms above decribe most so-called "christains".

NOPE! Israel is back in the Promised Land and will never leave or be forced out.

Why would you pray in a negative? Why would you not pray that Christ call all those to Him who have strayed as He clearly told us it is the stray sheep after whom He goes to bring back into the flock and in this pray His will be done?You are praying in damnation and that is not following what He has told us to do. You were not coming to Him out of your own will but because He called you to Him and if you are right in your thinking with Him it is due to Him and nothing else. Let Him do His work, it cannot be done otherwise and all He asks of us is to share the good news, the gospel of salvation.

Christians are not known for being what we'll call "flexible". If people are wearing God around on their sleeve, you kind of wonder just how much of Him has really gotten *inside*.
Christ was rumored to have been the friend of sinners, and this was never refuted. We'd do well to consider how He must have interacted with those "low-lifes" that they didn't run His ass out of their neighborhood.
Largely, the only thing christers are good at is alienating outsiders.

Death of the enthroned self. Step outside the camp to get a better view. Internal assessment. A thirst for genuine transformation.
Believers are taught that reciting an incantation somehow changes them, and that's that, praise the Lard! But in actuality, scripture tells us to take up our cross and deny ourselves and die daily. We're informed that trials and tribulations constitute God's "fire" by which He purifies and refines us, yet Church Inc. is in the business of teaching folks that trouble is from the Devil, so reject it, stand firm, and pray it away.

Essentially, we give the "flesh" free rein instead of a burial. It's this proud, unregenerate nature that people are revolted by, and I can't blame them.
Most of us parade around like holier-than-thou VIPs, often pointing fingers and taking names, and then when people recoil and deride us, we claim that it's persecution due to the gospel. Normal folks can see it, but we largely cannot. We're the Laodiceans who don't recognize that they're blind, poor and naked.

Pearls are formed by an "ordeal" inside the oyster, usually an irritating grain of sand or other such "thorn". It's probably not a pleasant process.
There are people out in the world more Christ-like than we are, because they've been crushed and changed by cancers and losses and defeats that we know nothing of. We label them "unbelievers", because they don't fly the "Jesus" flag, but in practice, they've been humbled and polished, and grasp the nature of the Redeemer better than most of us bible-humpers.
