A new video by Dr. Robert Lustig (Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, in the Division of Endocrinology Director of the Weight Assessment for Teen and Child Health Program at UCSF) well worth the hour and twenty minutes for anyone who still thinks that dietary fat is correlated with cardiovascular disease or obesity. (P.S. Ignore his politics, focus instead on his biochemistry.) [ link to www.youtube.com] Enjoy!!! Quoting: emerald eye Wow, incredible video ... nice one Emerald Eye, well worth the time spent watching this. Quoting: Sc0rp10n Thanks, I think that he spends a little too much time at the end focusing on the politics of how to fix this, and has a little too much faith in the “integrity” of government, but his biochemistry lesson is amazing. Even though he works through the biochemistry of obesity, heart disease, liver dysfunction, and diabetes all being related to various forms of sugar consumption, and not to fat consumption, he still slips at times with a “low fat”. Old habits die hard, but the science of how sugar causes most of the common diseases of modern civilization is indisputable and for the most part suppressed largely due to the lobbying efforts of the multibillion-dollar food industry. Hugs..
