Amused how worried the establishment get about low carb diets, and not surprisingly so, since when combined with high fat they have the potential to end the Big Pharma diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, etc gravy train. This article had me chuckling more than any recent ones: Warning about the dangers of low-carb diets
[ link to www.964eagle.co.uk] It starts off with the standard line warning about the dangers of low carb diets, then says: "But we're being told missing out on vital nutrients can be dangerous.
Milford mum Jo Lamb went on a very low-calorie diet - she says there were side effects: "You get headaches, you feel a bit fluey, people vary in how they feel.
"Another thing is because you're drinking so much water you get very cold so it is all a bit peculiar.
"I know some people have lost their hair.""Hmmm so when did a very low calorie diet come into it? So it's now a low carb diet then? Except of course by virtue of the person starving themselves and eating about half as many carbs as they normally would! I eat as many damn calories as I need until I stop feeling hungry! What nutrients exactly would I miss out on when I now eat about 1200 calories a day more than when I was gaining weight? lol Yeah, cut your calories and your hair will fall out!!!
