Can somebody please tell me what this is showing up in Google Earth? Obviously you need to point it towards the sky, but what the hell is it?

It's not one object. It's either more than one or two overlapping images. Too WEIRD! Zoom in close an you can see it.

This is also what i've heard explained. You can make out the silhouette of the interior of the telescope in the reflection.

The 'thing' is a zia sun symbol... what you are seeing is the "Blue Star Kachina."
