What i though you were getting at with your mention of two points in space is that TIME is the the thing that connects them and Time is also what separates them.

Time kind of defines them, as without time they could not be separate at all as an observer could be everywhere at once. Time allows an observer to 'be' at one point, and not another.

Kind of like time being a what is necessary for two points in space to exist as seperate places in their own right.
