Signs of Endless Wars: Middle School Orientation presenters used "military" as a career path for our kids 8 times
My daughter and I attended her eighth grade orientation yesterday evening, and the teaching professionals who spoke mentioned joining the military as a career path no less than eight times. This is a new school for my daughter; it's public, and in a pretty depressed Colorado gambling town. Most of the residents are lucky to have gotten out of high school themselves, and work blue collar jobs.

Is this usual, or a sign that this country will be engaged in endless wars? Should our public school kids prepare to be cannon fodder for large corporations to further their quest for the control of international resources?

Yeah well, not much going on these days but for a giant war machine.

Worship of power, pride, and violence is a deep cultural sickness.

Barbarism.
