Drinking from a bottle or can and you risk the suction. I've had dry sockets - and they are more painful than you'd think they could possibly be!! And pain meds don't help AT ALL!! The good news - the dentist can stop the pain in seconds. I don't know what was in it, but my dentist would make a little poultice thing and wedge it in the socket and before his hand was out of my mouth - the pain was gone. Now get a dry socket on the weekend....you will not be a happy camper until Monday. If you have to smoke - keep your lips open and puff as gently as possible. God Bless President TRUMP!
