We are agreed that of Daniel’s 70 weeks, 69 have come and gone and that clock was suspended right? Why? The time of the Jews (the 70 weeks) was suspended and the time of the Gentiles began so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ could be spread throughout the whole world and to complete God’s plan for the full redemption of mankind.
Suspended? We do not agree with that. Where in the Bible does it say that the “clock would be suspended”?
We believe that 69 out of 70 “seven year periods” were concluded in 2005, and that we are now in Daniel’s Seventieth Seven – which will end in 2012.
Quoting: Daniel's Seventieth 7Suspended was a poor choice of words. The 70 weeks of Daniel as you know were divided into “seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens’.” And the final 70th week is the antichrists peace deal or covenant, “He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.'”. So, suspended was not an accurate description. My apologies.

Daniel 9:25-27
25 "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”
So the show starts with verse 25. When was that decree? My understanding is that it was in 457 BC when Artaxerxes issued the decree to rebuild the temple. I believe there was a delay in when that decree was official, but I don’t have that reference book with me at the moment. Suffice it to say, that dates line up exactly with Jesus Christ, “The Anointed One will be cut off” of verse 26. That is the division of 7 weeks, 62 weeks, and the 70th week.
