ELOHIM, is a name of God, and the plural of the feminine noun ELOH - signifying either the androgynous nature of God, or the polytheistic nature thereof. However, whereas ELOH means Goddess, ELOAH means God. The suffix "IM," would then be masculine, refering to the the Mother Letter Mem, and the Father Letter Yod, both of which would denote the Sephiroth Chockmah, which is the place of the Father (at least within my own studies). It is said that ELOHIM stands for Yahovah, or Yahweh, however, according to the Book of Raziel, Elohim denotes the aspect of Judgement (the black pillar Boaz), whereas Yahweh mercy (the white pillar Yochin), which then would reference the Sephiroth Chesed and Geborah. Here again we may look at the unity of opposites.

Furthermore, there are two accounts of Genesis, the Yahwist and the Elohimists. Now, it is true that we can go to the other extreme. Some, especially many in the people who are in the Messianic movement among them Jewish Messianics, believe that Yahweh´s Name is ´too Holy to be pronounced´ and that by simply speaking the Name we somehow make it common or profane. But this doctrine has absolutely no support in scripture. Never once in the scriptures are we told to Hide His Name...but rather to Exalt and Praise it! We read:

Psalms 34:3 - O magnify YAHWEH with me, and let us exalt His Name together.
Psalms 148:13 - Let them praise the Name of YAHWEH: for His Name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven.


Isaiah 12:2 - Behold, El is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for YAH YAHWEH is my strength and my song; HE also is become my salvation. 3 - Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. 4 - And in that day shall ye say, Praise YAHWEH, call upon His Name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His Name is exalted.
His Name was used in casual conversation in several scriptures. For instance, Boaz and the reapers:
