The Drake Equation only takes into account the number civilizations in our own galaxy -- and there are 200 billion other galaxies, in this universe alone. So the low end estimate is 2000 Trillion other "advanced" civilizations in this universe and the top end is roughly a Trillion Trillion other civilizations. Pretty astounding.
