14-Year-Old Admits Picture Was Taken From Conservation Website

Florissant, MO. (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - Tonight many in Florissant are breathing a sigh of relief, or, in some cases, of irritation. The day long search for a baboon running loose in the community has proven to be a hoax put on by a fourteen year old girl.

The report came in late this morning. The teen said she'd seen a baboon in her yard, and had what she claimed was the cell phone photo to prove it. Police immediately began searching for the animal, and trying to verify the teen's story.

Zoo experts were brought in, and police say they were told that feces found in the teen's back yard was not that of the family dog. It was another reason to take the story seriously.
