Who actually cares, slavery has been illegal since the 1860's, 150 years ago. Let it go already and quit trying to stir up racism.

slaves were proceeded by indentured servitude in which the IS could work for a set time to get his freedom and land and a gun

one such I.S. gained his freedom and turned his land in a profitable enterprise and had an I.S. than ended up suing him for his freedom ...

the lower court ruled he had served long enough

the balck landowner appealed to higher court that RULED unbelievable enough that he was the property of the balck land owner now for life ... and thus the colonies had its first slave ... then this new system flourished quickly through the courts of the colonies and the business of slaves was on in ameirca

so blacks can thank a black man for the whole slave thing in america now

sad part is this black land owner died in the late 1600's and the state took his property from his heirs at his time of death becuase he was black ... guess the family wished he never brought that lawsuit to the courts

It's pretty obvious O.P.....blacks sold blacks into slavery. The moors sold their African bros into this so called slavery. ( I'm not talking out my ass.....I know my history )

I don't know what school you went to, but if you went to a library it would be very easy to figure that out. It's well documented.

People don't know that. Alot of whites think they came over on the Mayflower. They would be shocked to know how many were slaves. Bad, conservative, ethnocentric education. The books have been scrubbed.

Surprisingly the first slave owner was Mr Anthony Johnson, of Northampton, Virginia, who was himself a black African. His slave was called John Casor, who was the first slave for life and also a fellow black African.
American heritage, vol 441, "Selling Poor Steven" states that 3,775 free blacks owned 12,740 black slaves. This story also purports that the first slave owner in Virginia, Anthony Johnson, was a black man. Frighteningly, the story also outlines how free black women "owned" their husbands, free blacks sold their children into slavery, and absent free black slave owners "leased" their slaves to plantation owners.

there was a huge difference in Indentured servitude and slave ownership in the colonies

slaves have been with human kind for thousands of years in one form or the other ( illegal aliens in america are the new slaves )

but slaves as we know them from US history came about from two court cases

1st anthony johnson black man owning first legal slave

2nd 3 indentured servants ran away and were caught two were given 4 extra years one was gven lifetime service in effect a slave but still calle dindentured servant

the second came first and was relied on in the anthony johnson case

after the anthony johnson case slave trade sprang up over night in america through court systems

and persisted in that form until 1865 after cival war

indentured servants were non christians no matter their skin color and an indentured servant could be released immediately by converting to become christian

and there were more white indentured servants than blacks

and plenty of black folks were landowning christians with these servants

Actually there's some Native American tribes who for their own right to live and keep the generation going mixed with the African moors that were brought from the slave ships. The natives I forgot which tribes saw their African counter parts as brothers! Ima try to get the info for you.

Whenever the word Moor is used to describe a black man, it is supposed to mean he came from Africa, but actually means he is indigenous to the land in which he was found.
