After years of frightening sanctions, meetings millions of dollars spent speeches that indicated Iran must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons or the ability to produce them all down the toilet. And Iran and Russia are laughing their head off as we have our excuses ready not to do anything. Another impressive job accomplished unless we strike before this weekend. How often did we hear all options are on the table in the last couple of years. Do you know what all the options were? Apparently the government still does not know what the options are. Maybe after the Presidents vacation and playing a few games of golf with his private advisors we'll have an answer. Martha's Vineyard seems to give inspiration.

Soon, as in like 30 days or less, Iran will have enough non-fissle uranium to ship to Hezbollah so as to arm katusha rockets with high explosive radiological warheads, thus increasing the lethality of said rockets via radiation. And like I have been saying all goddamn day, if you think Iran won't find a way to get some DU to Hezbollah in Lebanon - inspectors or not - you're foolish.

The only counter to this new threat is to engage in pre-emptive land war and long term occupation of currently held/influenced Hezbollah areas.

Don't worry about it OP, all the speeches all the rhetoric etc is just for us in the west so we can see the muscle flexing, Iran is within its rights to do what it wants as long as it stuck by the rules and regulations and clearly they did otherwise the Russians wouldn't help them and action would've been taken against them. If others in the Middle East were as open about their intentions and abided by IAEA or the NPT the world would be better of.

It is true... Israel backed down...

Everyone one is afraid war would collapse the world's economies..

But now the dice have come up boxcars. The game has changed. With Israel's not having hit the reactor, they have to prep for the next threat. And that threat isn't nuclear war, but an elevated proxy war. I know that it might not happen. Who knows, peace could break out tomorrow. But keep in mind, very soon nuclear materials could be used against Israel, and she knows that. The consequences could be devistating on what little land she has to survive on. The only counter now is a first strike land attack of neighbors.

Maybe Israel is more confident of that bringing strategic victory than a strike on Iran. but if Israel is always trying to stay one STRATEGIC step ahead of her enemies, she has few choices considering the hand she is now playing with. Before it was the POTENTIALITY of radiological warheads. It has become a definite POSSIBILITY now.

Stop thinking nukes, people. Israel will not let anyone get that far. Contrary to popular opinion, nukes were never her concern in the past with regards to reactors... it's reactor waste she was afraid of. Why that 30 year old fear has gone is beyond my comprehension.

Well, Shit... you're right in that Israel has lost by allowing for iran to "go nuclear". And it is a major issue, but not beacuse of big bombs, but they dirty use of small ones.

Moreover, now Israel is in a position that she needs not to strike a reactor to maintian the advantage, but engage in an all out - though small scale - ground offensive against those areas where Iran has influence and get deplted uranium into... Syria, Lebanon and Palistinian lands specifically.

And those places know that. hence why Lebanon and Syria have started to ramp up their forces. recall Syrian alerts and Lebanese requests for military aid and monies. the defense minister himself donated the first 500,000. these things were all published in the past few weeks.
