i phone, i pad, i pod, i tunes, YOU tube.

Yes, it is a lonely world. It's all part of the plan.
 Quoting: noblesse oblige

I think you're on to something there.

Sorry for your pain OP. I could write a lot about this but am simply too tired right now. I understand how you feel but my circumstances aren't as extreme.

Moderation in all things, even loneliness ;)

I have no regrets on how I have chosen to live my life, I do have fears that in the near future the freedom to choose my own path will be taken by an orwelian nightmare but I try and enjoy every step I take and every sunset I see

Re: It is a lonely world
that is exactly what I am talking about it seems no one wants to be friends anymore they just want a mark to take advantage of
 Quoting: Desertwolf

I hear ya OP.....I'm pretty much in the same boat.
I could go out, and care to pretend to care about all that drivel, but it just isn't worth it for people that are not really your friend...not when it really gets down to it, someone that will be there for ya when things get rough and you need help.
The World these days is full of material people that are "Takers", more than they are "Givers".
The only reason they pretend to be your friend is to get as much out of you as they can....it isn't about just likeing hangin' out with ya, or a shared interest anymore....it's all about "what can you do for me" these days.
It has sickend me, the vast numbers, how they out number the "givers" 100 to 1.

I was here for about a year befor I spoke and I go to sleep at like 8pm and then wake up at like 5am.

Whats up with the fear ? I feel the same way about that too. Like it will all change soon.

I have known without a doubt since I was about 14 that the world would undergo a drastic change and as I have grown older I have seen my hometown change from a sleepy desert town to a police state run by biker gangs and corrupt politicians selling meth and it all seems to me to be precursor to a total colapse and rebuilding
not to mention the earth changes

Can I ask a bunch of questions ?

Great,

What kind of RV ? I'm in a Sundowner horse-trailer, it sucks. I'm looking for a new rig.

What kind of dogs ?
How many ? I have a pound mut.

What your elevation ? I think I'm 6300.

Are the leaves turning there ? They are here.

Count yourself lucky that you have one close friend, yourself. I see people around me that don't even begin to know that truth about themselves. It took me 60 years to understand that I'm my own best friend and I'm a good soul.

well, OP... sounds like you are living the dream. I work in the concrete jungle with a bunch of mofo c*cksukers who think wearing pink shirts and fancy cufflinks is where its at. its pathetic to watch today's man in the workplace. They've been emasculated.

Wow, Desertwolf, you are addressing a real issue here no doubt. I must agree with some of the posters here, you are living a life the rest of us can only dream of. See this article, I read it today:

There are over 96 million singles in the United States. My "HUB" is for the single person, filled with thoughts and reflections on what it's like to be single, the challenges we face as singles, and the courage needed to go through life alone.

I got 14 acres of desert going too, with shit water, no trees and a homeowners association. I'm over it. Everything must go and I need all new shit (almost everything).

8400 ft, that's what I miss about colorado, it's got altitude.
