I hear ya OP.....I'm pretty much in the same boat.
I could go out, and care to pretend to care about all that drivel, but it just isn't worth it for people that are not really your friend...not when it really gets down to it, someone that will be there for ya when things get rough and you need help.
The World these days is full of material people that are "Takers", more than they are "Givers".
The only reason they pretend to be your friend is to get as much out of you as they can....it isn't about just likeing hangin' out with ya, or a shared interest anymore....it's all about "what can you do for me" these days.
It has sickend me, the vast numbers, how they out number the "givers" 100 to 1.
