Most people following the BP oil disaster have heard or read Louisiana State University Professor Emeritus Ed Overton’s rosy statements about the ‘situation’ in the Gulf.

If you are not familiar with him, do a quick web search for ‘Ed Overton‘ and ‘BP’ to get an idea. Then scroll down to watch Project Impact’s latest videos featuring Overton.

In addition to consistently minimizing the impact of BP’s disaster on the Gulf, Overton (though rarely mentioned) is also working for the federal government, reported the Times Picayune here and here.
