He is abusive, sacastic and crude for one.

I try very hard to let others strike first. If I mistook once AC for another and took a shot at the wrong one I apologize; sometimes I have difficulty keeping everyone's numbers straight in my head. Yes, I make mistakes, I admit it.
Thinks he is better than everyone else number two.

Utter nonsense. There are those on this forum I look up to. They just happen to be quite different from the people you might look up to.
He is on the list number three.

What list?
 Quoting: Astronut

Astro nut. I have seen your posts on many other threads. you have a tendency to start calling people dip shits and derogatory name early on in your discussion and show very little patients with people that may know less then you. Hence the number one and two designation.

Because of your attitude of coming on like a know it all, instead of just simply asking question in a nicer manner. and not one of being the saviour of the lowly stupid posters on various thread. This thread is a case in point.

You are on my list. Shit list. I thought I made that clear.

I do however think you are well versed in the astronomical subjects. Perhaps if you took a little different approach you would get less Resistance. peace.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to build a Faraday Cage for say a laptop to help protect it from a CME?

I can't seem to find any research on the frequency that a CME might produce since it seems to vary so much. With that said it seems difficult to perdict what type of material to build the faraday cage from.

If everything is gone, then what good is it to have the techology? We just put in a $100,000 solar system, took our bill from 1500 a month to zero, but will not serve much purpose when SHTF.

I 'spose our garden, goats, chickens, well and food storage will be our saviour...oh and the mre's for bug out time...do not see where svaed toys fit in.

Your electric bill was 1500 a month? How many plants you got growing?

Got a good deal with the low house market...
With power Co. rebate and tax rebate..we only paid for 47%..

We figured when SHTF our large family will need a place to be.

He just really turned me off when he would go into my threads and fuck around by getting things WAY off topic, or COMPLETELY trying to distort things I have said...
 Quoting: Sickscent

My goal is not to derail your threads or distort what you say. I do tend to come with specific targeted criticisms of things that I know are wrong. Sometimes even a single criticism unquestionably should impact the direction of the entire thread (ie, sun angles on shuttle thread), sometimes it is simply intended to raise questions about whether a particular source is credible or not, as in this case. I didn't want half this thread to become all about me or my one question, but the subject of the thread is supposed to be about boeing guy specifically, is it not? If you want to try to draw connections between stories to paint the picture of a nasty solar max with doomy implications in the offing, I try not to interfere in your interpretation or opinion of that whether I agree or not. But when I see a guy claiming to have inside info and confirmation but I see a glaring lie mixed into it I can't help but point that out. Everything else he offers may or may not be true, but its weight really depends on his personal credibility.

If I said I had seen an asteroid that was going to strike the earth tomorrow but for whatever reason I was unable to present direct proof people would have to evaluate my statement based on how credible they see me. They might point to circumstantial facts like the recent impacts on jupiter or the infamous spy satellite data classification, but ultimately the claim would rest on my credibility, so if I said something that was clearly wrong mixed in with the story you should rightly question that credibility. Now in this case the claimed outcome is uncertain, and even boeing guy's story is basically that the experts don't know anything for sure, and his information is partial, so it's not as cut and dry as either an asteroid hitting us or not hitting us. I simply pointed out what I see as a red flag that he's being less than honest about what he's heard. If you choose to give him the benefit of a doubt, that's perfectly understandable, to each his own, but what I told you is the truth. If people had simply accepted that fact instead of claiming I was lying and a shill it wouldn't have derailed the thread.

Imagine being the only person in the area with a peice of working modern technology. It's not like we are going back to the dark ages forever. Things will come back online at some point.... (could take more years then it's worth but)..

Imagine the value and trading potential. Someone will want it just for the connection to the past. I don't see the need to use it, once the battery dies then it's just another paper weight but until then it's a great bargining chip.

I'm under no illusions that if the CME hits then mass panic will set in and good people will turn bad. This means that you have to be in a small town and off the highways before the gangs show up to steal everything from your farm. Sure you can protect it for a time but unless you band together with the town or neighbours your screwed, they will get it eventually.

GGG has been telling you this for a VERY long time. It is coming... Prepare accordingly, as your survival depends upon it...

[link to www.gunsgrubandgold.com]

If its out in the MSM then you can be sure it will happen even if they have to create it. Either way best to be prepare.

No, we know for a fact. It has nothing to do with the MSM. We advise individuals to prepare, but really cannot divulge anything additional. Lets just say when it happens, your window of opportunity to get out of any urban environment, before total and complete marshal law takes affect is 3-6 hours maximum. After that CoG and contingencies are fully initiated...

Who is the "we" you refer to? And why can't you fully divulge? If it is the best interest for people to know so they can prepare i would think your conscience would be in conflict with this. Do you not think we will all be accountable at some point for our deeds?

OH...MA...EFFIN...GEE...

I just spent the last 20 minutes typing up a long winded diatribe in response to many of the posts here...Some of it good/positive bits-o-info for the layman/newb, some of it anti-inflammatory or "damage control"...

Then I thought, "Self...what the hell! If something wicked this way comes, most of these people will be dead anyway! What's the point? OH...and SELF? You may be dead, too, so just chill out."

Yes...I actually said this out-loud to my self.

ROFLOL.

It's like a bunch of kids fighting over toys in a sand box. Result: no one gets a toy cuz momma takes it away and EVERYONE gets itchy sand in their butt-crack.

Hey Astronut...Man...Shill or not, I like you. Wanna know why? Cuz you believe you are doing right and have the testicular fortitude to stand by your beliefs. No, man, that's not even a back handed insult. Take it as written and intended. Kudos to you.

Some people need to get some reading comprehension.

Tirade done. I now return you to your sandbox...without the toys...enjoy!

I'm getting to that. Boeing guy's statements are largely just based on his word that he's heard this or that. If I said that I know that an asteroid was about to hit us based on what an astronomer told me, but my word is all I have to offer you, you'd have to evaluate my statement based on how credible you think I am. Now if I said I know that an asteroid was about to hit us based on what an astronomer told me, and he also said he was surprised when they banned NEO information, then you shouldn't trust any of my statement. You're asking me to evaluate his credibility after omitting a statement known to be factually false leaving only mildly cryptic and ambiguous statements that can neither be proven nor falsified.

There are better ways to make a point. Really, there are.

The text, in the context of this thread, lays it out quite clearly. Ya jussa gotta read it with eyes open.

I, for one, would never minimize what a person says based on a singular incongruity. There's a lot to be learned about a person and the world in general by discerning the truth and identifying the lies.

Here's another twist on it...

To sell a lie, tell a big truth with a little lie. Need to sell a bigger lie? Tell a bigger truth! Perception.

Face it...we are lied to all the time. It's up to each of us to individually determine what we are willing to accept.

But isn't the opposite also true? A single lie/misdirection within a larger truth can sometimes derail the truth. How so? Because we focus on what we perceive as the lie.

Interesting, no?

Does BG's mistake about the NEO negate the rest of what he's saying? What IS HE SAYING? Hmmmm...THAT is the question. Rhetorical for me, of course.

As with all things, we can take it or leave it.

I, for one...am watching and learning.

Because his statements rest on his own credibility. If he's lying then there's not much point to anything he's said. He may as well have been you just connecting various stories about local fluff and bad solar storms coming our way. Re: BOEING GUY
When the grids go down, TPTB will certainly try to pass off the pole shift as a CME attack on earth, via NASA

They will pretend for as long as possible that they can restore power eventually (2 years?) This promise is their only fall back position to retain control of the masses that
survive the pole shift.

The simple fact is that if CME were the real problem, there would not be a global power outage.

Boeing guy sounds nearly as vague as the 'I know something you don't but can't tell' threads. Not quite. Almost.

Sickscent, you are indefatigable and lovable but deeply into
new age trancendentalism/ascendency which is nothing but
voodoo.

There is something on the level of atoms that must be considered.

The copper atom, the gold atom, the aluminum atom, and all the other conductive material atoms, have a free electron that hops back and forth from one nucleus to another in an energized state.

The function of atoms is the byproduct of interplanetary
gravitational forces. The energy of the movement of the planets that orbit around the sun, is the fuel of atomic
behaviors.

The pole shift will flip the electromagnetic field.
At first glance one might think, no problem, the forces are the same and we can just start calling Antarctica the
north pole. Everything will be the same. Lets reboot the grid.

This is not quite accurate. When the poles shift, the earth will be in opposite spin on it's axis, and in the same rotational orbit around the sun.

This change in gravitational forces, which is the result of
spin on axis and direction, speed, mass of the sun, mass of the earth, between the two, position of the moon, other planets (especially the big ones), their spin and direction on axis, distance, etc., also factors in the gravitational power equation, even when calculated, if it were possible,
results in an unknown impact on the behavior of atoms.

It is possible that the earth may no longer be a negatively charged environment. It is possible that energy rules will be inside out. It is equally possible that everything we
ever knew in the present atomic state, will be different.

Underground facilities will be toast during this event.
They are already running on electromagnetically harvested
power, based on a negatively charged function.

Loss of comms will be far more difficult for survivors than loss of branch circuits in homes and offices.

Military Hush-Up: Incoming Space Rocks Now Classified

For 15 years, scientists have benefited from data gleaned by U.S. classified satellites of natural fireball events in Earth's atmosphere – but no longer.

A recent U.S. military policy decision now explicitly states that observations by hush-hush government spacecraft of incoming bolides and fireballs are classified secret and are not to be released, SPACE.com has learned.

Re: BOEING GUY
I find it very interesting how people can get caught up in semantics. It seems that there are individuals that troll this site that will do anything and everything to decry or denounce someone's post. I've read SS's blog and admittedly did not understand 100% of the information being given, but SS included enough links so that I was able to trace stuff back to the original source and eventually got what he was saying. But there are those that get caught up on little things and fail to see the forest for the trees. Ok, so the blog and original thread mentioned that "The Boeing Guy" was going to ground by June because HE (not SS) felt that things would start to happen around then. Even then, Boeing Guy indicated that he was not sure of an exact date. Yet, because June has come and gone, people want to discount the entire thread. And then there is the near Earth object. How many of those things have actually come darned close to hitting us and TPTB didn't bother to mention it 'til days afterward? SS has provided us with a wealth of great information, but never claims to know exactly when or how the SHTF.

And seriously? Your going to take the time to blast someone on they're grammer? If you didn't figure it out, that last sentence was incorrect on purpose. Even the best of us make a typographical error occasionally, so what, doesn't mean that the information being imparted is any less valuable. I personally don't find it necessary to take the extra time to go in and edit a post to fix something so insignificant in relation to rest of it.

I'm likely wasting my breath here, because there will always be shills and trolls and just plain a$$holes that muck up the good work that people like SS put up for the rest of us to learn from and enjoy. Thanks SS

but as you pointed out people did due diligence and researched what he was saying and found it to have merit.

And I'm giving you my research into his statements. Most of it can be circumstantially "supported" with confirmation bias with warnings from NASA about solar storms and all the rest, but it is very difficult to directly prove or refute anything he's said. This is one of the few things that can be directly addressed and it calls the whole story into question for me.
Take a step back and look at your additude your appoached the thread you are posting on.

I have no regrets about how I approached the thread. It didn't take long for the accusations of "shillery" to fly at me when people could have simply accepted what I said and chosen to give the guy the benefit of a doubt anyway.

Re: BOEING GUY
In truth, I don't understand why people get so caught up as to whether the Boeing guy really is from Boeing...

Because his statements rest on his own credibility. If he's lying then there's not much point to anything he's said. He may as well have been you just connecting various stories about local fluff and bad solar storms coming our way. In fact, the latter would be much better because at least you strive to be honest as far as I can tell. Even if I do think you post deceptively once in a while, I will concede that you try to keep things above board for the most part and I give you credit for that.

You are on my list. Shit list. I thought I made that clear.

Wow, you keep a list? Man, and you accuse me of being aggressive.

It was meant to be a joke.

But now you are just trying to justify your position. Easier just to say your sorry. If you desire to continue your behavior I will be more than happy to accommodate you.

Re: BOEING GUY
Just because someone doesnt back up your theories doesnt mean they are a shill! Take that shrill screaming shill shit somewhere else!

In fact, Astronut is one of the few that seems to have any sense whatsoever in regards to these topics, and his live feeds are much appreciated.

When you scream 'shill' it just makes you look nutty as all fuck to be quite honest. And, it makes him look all that much more credible!

I've lurked during some of Astronut's live feeds. He knows his Astronomy. Gotta respect that.

We are all free to believe what we want. That's the beauty of life. Diversity.

SS, I'm not going to link my notes/blogs here. I'm not hard to find. I've used the same monicker for the past 10 years or so. Chk your GLP email.

Edit:
More on Astronut. I'm not "taking sides"...Really, I'm not. What I've seen MOST from Astronut is his attempt at correcting other's mistakes regarding astronomy. He WILL pick a single aspect of a post that he sees as erroneous and rip it apart. Not the most subtle or gracious thing to do, especially when looking at it from the standpoint of the OP. BUT...Like OTOC, Astro believes what he believes and speaks with the conviction of that belief. That can sometimes rub people the wrong way. (I could go on and on about why that is)

Just as interestingly...When Astro attacks a single aspect of a post, the following replies by the OP are usually derogatory and/or defensive. Simply allow Astro to make corrections and incorporate that into the thread instead of a back and forth debate on the merits of the info. Like the Aiki arts, use the energy to further the thread instead of allowing that energy to derail it.

Sheeesh. I hope that makes sense. I need caffeine.

Astronut,

They ARE classified! I posted the link earlier, maybe you missed it.

You really don't get it. Read the article, it's about spy satellite data of fireballs from meteors already in the atmosphere, it has nothing to do with NEOs. I directly linked to that article right out of the box.
