Hi Chad,
Sorry for the delay I just came into town today and decided to check emails. I spoke with my friend last week and she is now looking to get out as well. She only said things are nuts and everyone is talking about how many 'explosions' are happening now so frequently on the Sun. But she would not go further and I tried every way I could to get more info in ways that would help. I think she will be there a while yet because she has a child that is disabled and it will take some time for her to arrange a place which has the things she needs to care for him.

Based on your email, I logged on to the urbansurvival site - wow - there's a lot there! I'm happy that our thread and your work have taken hold. I truly believe that we are headed into rough waters - still - by the end of this year.

I don't plan to go any more public than I have.... I just wanted to get word out about what I felt was important and you have taken that so much further in a way which people would accept - that was the key.

I will share that I have gotten to know a guy at the power co-op which supplies our area - he has helped me with some work ar our place. In a careful way, I've started to ask questions and talk a little about things electrical as related to EMP. He is an engineer and understands the terms. I decided to mention that I have seen things lately from Nasa which seem concerning about 'sunbursts' I called them. He quickly picked up on that and said that the co-op had been working for the last 14 months to upgrade the equipment enclosures for all the system controls which are at the remote transmission stations and have been ordering spares as their budget would allow. I asked why. He said that there was some memo from the government a while back which somebody told him was pretty serious about this subject. He said he never saw it but shortly after that was when all this work began. So i asked if there was any timeframe for a completion. He laughed kindof and said - well, I don't put any stock in this 2012 stuff but we're told that there are more equipment changes coming and we will have done whatever we are doing by fall 2011. So, take from that what you will.... I may be way early but I still believe that there will be events leading into what is coming which are serious and cause problems sporadically for large populated cities.

Did you get a sense of what kind of "work" they are doing for their power supply? Could they be constructing Faraday cages?
