Sen. John McCain wants to allow U.S. citizens to be arrested, held indefinitely
Last week, John McCain introduced a bill into the U.S. Senate which, if passed, would actually allow U.S. citizens to be arrested and detained indefinitely, all without Miranda rights or ever being charged with a crime.

The stated purpose of S. 3081 (The Enemy Belligerent Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act) reads: “To provide for the interrogation and detention of enemy belligerents who commit hostile acts against the United States, to establish certain limitations on the prosecution of such belligerents for such acts, and for
other purposes.”

The bill has nine co-sponsors including Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA).

Too bad he didn't spell out what a hostile act is. Are we talking buying thousands of pounds of TNT when you are holding blueprints for its placement in a government building or are we talking insulting the President here?

Hello,

We look at a tree one at a time. We donot look at what is behind that one tree. If you will look at what is behind that one tree at which you are agonizing, you will see behind it there is an all consuming number of trees which make up a vast, dark, ominous forest, and it was (in my time) called "Communism", which is now called NWO (New World Order), which, after the pretty feathers drop off, you will see is slavery plain and simply.

it was actually introduced in march. there is an exact duplicate bill in the house, hr.4892. these both could be passed into law at they same time one morning and signed by the president by noon.

these were to be the answer to the "underwear bomber" being read his rights within an hour, but lets look at them:

PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION BY HIGH-VALUE DETAINEE INTERROGATION GROUP - group appointed by president to determine who is an enemy belligerent.

FINAL DETERMINATION - done within 48 HRS. determined by attorney general and sec of defense (both appointed by the pres). if they cant decide, president decides.

CRITERIA FOR DESIGNATION OF INDIVIDUALS AS HIGH-VALUE DETAINEES - lists a few official sounding reasons but then lists "Such other matters as the President considers appropriate."

DETENTION WITHOUT TRIAL OF UNPRIVILEGED ENEMY BELLIGERENTS - An individual, including a citizen of the United States, determined to be an unprivileged enemy belligerent...may be detained without criminal charges and without trial for the duration of hostilities"

Lets review, because of underwear bomber was read his rights to quickly by the presidents DOJ, McCain leads legislation that would give president power to detain anyone with charges and trials. determination is done by people appointed by the president or the president himself.

HMMMMMM, that doesnt seem to solve the issue!! Wake up people!!
